dannyh, 11 Feb 2009did you know that using skyfire you can use the bbc iplayer... morethanks for the info dude c", i was one of the earlier adaptors of bbc iplayer but it didn't work before on my device that's why i removed it. i'll try it again now using the skyfire.
can you give me more details about how you made it work.. cheers!

Hi today I have sold my N78 for Rs 17000 got Rs 4000 loss cos n78 one R speaker got faulty not working. I got N82 for Rs 31500 Finland made. It is a nice one again I am little confused about keypad why nokia playing with keypad but its batter from N78. Anyhow I have to use it.

Hey friends! Beware now Nokia is losing up to its quality as well as after sales services. I brought my new N82 as such two months back but it only remained with me for maximum of two weeks and since then it’s with Nokia Care as it had started giving trouble just after one and a half weeks of purchase and that too just with basic and very careful usage of the handset and till date things are only in air, I am roaming week after week to Nokia Care for my handset but no progress.
Though they had passed my phone back after keeping it for a week's time when I had deposited first but then I had to re-submit it the next day as the problem remained the same with handset, some virus had caught it so was getting switched on & off on its own.
And since then every time I call or visit Nokia Care they say it’s under inspection that no problem comes again and finally after one month I get to know it’s out repairable form so it would get a swap handset and to my utmost surprise I won’t get a new packed handset which I should have being my new handset giving trouble from the beginning, I would be getting same handset but not a packed one from their unit but even that commitment has not been met till date as they claim they are running short of stock so it’s getting delayed.
Now I am waiting for the next due date which is going to be next week, hoping if I could get some value back in that handset for the twenty thousand rupees spent by me on Nokia N82.
Had been just one case I would have been Ok, but one more handset of Nokia 6500 slider my aunty had was giving some trouble from second month onwards and similarly got back to Nokia Care and just few days back she got a replacement of the same, a second hand used same model handset.
I used to be a big fan of Nokia and its products, was a loyal customer of Nokia from years, used to never make a try for any other brand but this experience was so bitter I don't think I shall ever go in for Nokia again, as its technical product which can come up with a problem but had they handled things well and would have not turned so much against Nokia.
So, I would recommend please give some second thought if you intend to go for a Nokia handset purchase next time.

I 've used so many cell phones e.g. (in SE) K310 to K850, W550 To W960 also UIQ/3 e.g P910i, P990, (in Nokia) 5300, 5700, 5610, 6500 (slider), N73(Special addition), N78 & N95 8gb. Infact I've dam intrest in Camera & sound clearity as well, so non of above models satisfied me for their camera performances not even 5mp N95 8gb(special in indoor/night atmosphare)so my good luck bcoz a month ago 1 of my friend from Austraila suggested me to buy N82 for its highly & the best camera performance so far in mobile world. than I started surffing on net & collected so many reviews/informations/comments from so many websites so finally i completelly satisfied & I 've to decide to buy this gr8 camera phone.
Thanks God!!! Now I've my gr8 N82 (Black)in my hand(bought 1 week ago). Beleive me Its superb in all features. Thats really the successor of N Series. Its cam is 10 times better than any 5 mp cam mob even N95-8gb, bcoz 8gp has led flash & N82 has the amazing xenon flash. I love this phone Great Phone although I am an old fan of SE but in Nokia I love this phone. So don't waste much time for choosing ur next mobile becoz N82 is on ur way & I am sure that you'll never regret it. So get it b4 market get shortage of it. N82 Rocksssssssssssss.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i seems that u r indirectly trying to say that n82 is the phone in which cheap quality chips are used.come to think of it i think why n82 all nseries phone use cheap quality material because if we do a market survey and compare nokia nseries phone with other phone of different brand it can be seen that nokia phones are the most feature rich as compared to the other phone and with a significant price cut.that the reason why people prefer nokia phone than buying other phones because they give us more value for money in terms of feature.as said by the the MR.x if nokia hadnot used cheap material then they could have never brought the price down of their phone

Sea-Breeze, 11 Feb 2009hiii i meant the headfones volume isn't gettin loud it got ... morehey dude u r telling that after upgrading ur phone software to version 31 u r getting gps fix even inside the house but mine phone has version 20 firmware from the begining and i also get gps fix inside the house within 10 seconds and my phone has no problem which is worth mentioning

subho, 11 Feb 2009hey thanks for the link but i donot think my phone gonna wo... morehiiiii dont worry about removing the outer case ! about antiviruses i dont use anyantiviruses ! ;)))))))) i use a better idea ..connect ur fone to ur PC in data transfere mode and check the memorycard with ur pc antivirus :)))))) in more than 8 years with nokia s60 fones i didn't once got a virus with this trick :))))) also update ur fone software from time to time to give it a re-fresh

talking about the loudspeaker of V31..
for abou... morehiii i meant the headfones volume isn't gettin loud it got CLEARER i noticed deeper bass effect also improved stereo wideining through both the headfone and the mobile speakers
also the GPS was significantly improved ! it locks position while am inside home ! in version30 it never did that i had to go out to lock gps satellities its faster and got more power ! the wi-fi is better got also more strenght ..thats all i found about v31

1) soft format using *#7370# only..
2) Re-update ur fone sofware through nokia software updatedor and everything should work fine ...

Hi everyone!
i have a nokia N82 and was very happy with all the features and all...UNTIL...today! im very discouraged with this phone now...after i got it in jan 2008 its now feb 2009 and the phone is crap...its giving me headaches...it keeps restarting and freezing...after many tries taking out the battery and switching it on again it shows jus a black screen...i have read posts all over the net and this seems to be a common problem...i hope this is not a default on the phone...ive tried *#7370# and holding down 3 (call) and * and both dont seem to work...i duno if its a internal problem or a software problem???someone please help...
