Solomon, 26 Nov 2010I had some issue in Disply and i gave it to repair and now ... moreDid you look N82 photos on that new display? If you did then you should try to look your photos through a computer monitor or maybe you should print them out for the fair and final judgement (there is a possibility that your N82 new display is not the genuine one).

LAMBO, 26 Nov 2010Well i think you are right N8 is the upgrade for this phon... moreYo LAMBO, I thought that N8 speaker was 10-20% louder than N82 but sadly the N8 speaker is located at the backside which will make the sounds being muffled in several conditions. Generally I love N8, good sensitiveness of the screen, aluminium body, top build quality, looks good feels good, USB on the go, scratch resistant gorilla glass, 16GB mass memory etc. And still I keep my N82 besides N8. If you like N82 very much, then you shall like N8 too just like me but it's still hard for me to release my N82 so I use both of them.

I have used my N82 for more than 2 years and it is still alive and kickin', N82 stands the test of time, I hope that N8 is gonna be the same.

The battery (both Li-Ion and Li-Po) are awful. I could not get more than 2.5 days of LIGHT usage between recharging.
Over time ( I have the phone since May 2008) I experienced several issues. Most major:
- completely lost a 3 hour movie recorded with the phone, as the battery died and the phone turn off unexpectedly
- completely lost a few hundreds pictures. I could not find any explanation, I have not done _anything_ with the phone. I glanced at the pictures, left the "Gallery Browser", re-enter 10 min later and all pictures were gone. And I emphasize, I did not do ANYTHING else. Not even by accident
- the Wi-Fi sensitivity is quite low. In areas where the laptop sees 5-6 SSIDs, the phone only manages to see the strongest 1-2 of them
- same goes for GPS. While in Lisbon I could use the GPS while being on the top ( open ) floor of a tour bus, but I had no signal while being inside the bus.
Otherwise it's a pretty decent phone. I'd give it a 6-7 on a scale of 10 ( 10 = best )

Great smartphone. I've been using HTC Wildfire and I have to tell you, that n82, even though it's older, feels to react faster. Of course, htc is better at surfing in the internet, but n82 seems to have much more faster cpu plus it has graphic accelerator, which wildfire lacks (better support for flash and no lags in watching videos). Camera- Wildfire sucks compared to n82's. Picture quality is just the same as average 5mp digital cameras few years ago. Powerfull xenon flash. Flawless video recording. Stereo speakers. 3,5 jack. Big, 2.4 inch screen. Lots of applications. Sturdy build. What more would you want? Plus the phone is dirty cheap. The only pain in the ass are certificates, which seem to be all outdated, no matter what application I try to install.
