is there an upcoming firmware update for Nokia N82? N95 have just been upgraded.
any idea people?
wish it would contain transition software to fp2..

keep this in mind, this phone have already marked its name and proved itself to the world. their is nothing you can do with it but accept its success.

What i like about sony ericsson is that it doesn't want to prove anything... it's more like a lifestyle

there are so many applications that you can install and run on n82 that other s60 phones may not utilised efficiently, like sports tracker that uses the built in accelerometer to monitor your calories burn, distance covered by your jogging routine, etc. there is also an hour glass simulator that uses the accelerometer for life-like simulation. the hour glass seems real on it. google maps also work on this phone to pinpoint your location, thanks to the built in gps. there is also a music player application that uses the accelerometer for playback control. that app is available only for evaluation at the moment, needed to be signed. you shake the phone to the right to fast forward a track, shake to the left to rewind. dont you know that n82 can also be used as control for wii? there are so many things that this phone can do, more than just camera, video, web browsing, etc. there will be so many apps in the future that will be developed to utilise this phone's full potential. my advice to those people who are planning to buy a phone is you should buy the phone that does not only have a 5mp cam and hsdpa, but you should buy a "complete" smartphone with gps, acceletometer and 3d graphics accelerator, because these chips can bring so many uses and enjoyment once they are fully utilised through 3rd party applications.

hate it, 08 Sep 2008I hate this phone..I bought this 3days ago and now its a wa... morei used my n82 for arnd 1.5 mos. & suddenly the right speaker started to go on/off til it went out totally..hope the upcoming batches will have better qc with their speakers as i saw 2 posts with the same prob..nsc usually takes a long time fixing units.

this phone is worth the praise that it was given to it by all the mobile review sites, its not a perfect phone but its close to being one than any other phone in the market c",

I bought the phone few days ago. A bit expensive but definitely worth it as there are almost no lag between navigation. I open music, msn live and search the net. Speaker is excellent as well. I was lucky to buy this over the N78(which is crap IMO).
For those who want to buy a new phone with speed/performance, this is the phone for you. For those who wan to have a phone with long talktime then i guess this is not the one for you folks as the battery drain fast.
Everything is perfect except the weak battery but i can live it because fault is on me as i always online/surf/chat with the backlight turning on and off. When i dun surf/chat, the phone battery can last for quite sometime.

Hold on to your horses, this phone is the best phone that I ever have. you can differentiate the envious fanboys and the REAL owners in this page.
The envious hates the phone even if they dont own one, creating stories that are not true about the phone.
The REAL owners, are amazed about this phone and are telling everybody about their experience on the device.
This phone have been in existence for almost a year now and so far their have been no negative comments about it not until the bashers came in c", creepy people!

guys if you think this phone is not suited for your needs, then you should go for sony ericsson, samsung and motorola dumb phones that do nothing but call and text. but if you want a digital camera, video camcorder, gps navigator, full web browser, media player, game console, telephone, and a whole lot more in one compact gadget, then this multimedia computer is the one for you!

I hate this phone..I bought this 3days ago and now its a waste of money! at 1st I love it.. but just now the speaker doesnt work anymore! I hate it.. It cant be replace anymore! all i have to do is bring it at NSC which is a waste of time since they suck! I waste my 19k or 442 USD on this phone!! Im really dissapointed on this phone.. I should never bought this phone..
