Answer: You can't change songs with the supplied headset (i.e., the headset that came with the phone). Fortunately, since the N82 has a 3.5mm standard audio jack you can use the wired remote supplied with the N95 and N95 8GB. I bought the AD-54 type of wired remote (that which comes with the N81 and N81 8GB) from ebay and it also worked great with the N82.
Moreover, since that wired remote also comes with a 3.5mm jack you could use the headset you like (as I think the pair that came with it is a bit weak in the bass section).
If you got extra money to spend, you might want to get a stereo bluetooth headset instead. I got one made by Jabra that looks like a dog tag and also lets me use the headset that I like.
Getting an 8GB micro-sdhc card will not slow down your N82.

ganu , 01 Jul 2008i think the N82 black is one of the best phone from nokia ... moreganu, im jealous as well. i wont be able to buy n82 until its price drops down. :(

i think the N82 black is one of the best phone from nokia
when i was in 11 th STD that time i have 3230
and my all friend just laugh on me they say that you have old 3230.and they all show me there N72,N73,N70,5700 and make me jealous
but now i am making jelous 2 my friend by showing N82 black and N82 magic application like
nokomote
rotatme
shake lock
shake me
camera detection game
and some othere python application

can some1 tell me all the virus that may occur for all nseries.. im planning to buy 1 of nseries.. and pls tell which among the n series is virus free phone.. if not the least virus free..thanks

Camera-wise with its Xenon flas... morehello??n82 was declared the best cameraphone of 2008!and so its camera result is overall better than n95.n95 is history.the sound quality is almost the same in n82 and n95 8 gb because they have the same audio hardware,only the n95 8gb lacks bass.

i jst bought dis phone.....i didnt xpect da sound of da loudspeakers so less.....bt i havta settle 4 it coz i have sheeled 480$ 4 dis.....can ne1 temme hw to download themes n oder stuff lyk games.....actually i hav sum themes on my pc n i wanna store them on mah phone....can ny1 temme????reply ASAP...thanx

this fone's good..but it cannot display a full photo assigned for select callers..it jus displays a small thumbnail version...any ideas n solutions?

This is the ultimate phone for me. Fulfill all road wariors' needs. 3G, HSDPA, 5Mp photos, mail, WIFI, Internet phone.... Top choice, internet phone that allows me to make cheap international and local calls. Best choice after survey on all brands for business and play.

I was very happy with the N82 Black moving from a N73. Camera was great, xenon flash was the very bright, wifi was awesome, and having the option to go to a 8gb memory card was just the best ...
But right after having it for the 3rd day the mic started messing up... I heard the people I was calling but they did not hear me ... So because of a faulty mic I returned it to importgsm.com . Which they took back, and because of the N82 Black was not in stock. I finally just settled with a N95-4 Black( N95 8GB ) ... Later on in the year, I have been closely looking in jumping ship to Samsung Omnia just because of the 16gb storage or staying with the N Series with a N96.
Hopefully, sometime in the end of the year Nokia will come out with a High end smart phone w/ quad band, with xenon flash, 5mp or higher camera, wifi, 16gb internal storage, definitly a micro sd card slot for a 32gb memory card, a video camera that shoots at a 120fps, and maybe touch screen... This would be my birthday wish this coming November....

denden, 27 Jun 2008*#0000# on my N82: V 20.0.062 28-02-08 RM-313 Nokia N... morehey its just like walking and running.. when ur using it regularly without bluetooth, FM, etc it can go up to 5 days but using videocall and especially FM ur like making ur fon to run. Hope u understand what I'm saying. peace
