I think touchscreen phones are somewhat better than normal smartphones, but only if you are a heavy mobile internet user. The rest is just a screen that shows unbelievably large icons you can touch, not that much of an advantage.
Yes, Nokia should make a touch oriented phone years ago, but they shouldn't really stick to Symbian only, to give customers variation of choice and convenience.
But Nokia Loosers, you are just taking it way too far. Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 is a rip-off considering the graphics are slow as a turtle. Stop comparing PDAs (especially the business oriented Windows-Mobile devices) to the media oriented Symbian phones. They are not in the same caliber, though Nokia phones never fails to give us ease of use and better cameras.

in indya they show ads of 1100 and cheap phones, bcos that is what most people watching tv will buy... tv is a mode of reaching the majority of people, most of whom cannot afford n-series.
dats y u don't see many mercedes ads in national tv, rather u see toothpaste n parle-g ads. pepsi ads too...
n-series ads on tv will not be as productive as u might think.

N82 has become a scrape goat in front of incomming models of Nokia with its terrible design low screen light N88 ad others will doom it.The software update is mental satisfaction nothing practical ever seen except improvements mention on site.A master reset could do the same and remove most of slags n software.

i dont think that N82 dim screen but i can tell it is far beteer then my old N95. and speaker is also good then my old N95

when taking video at night its flash opens...

If u want to compare phones and features just be fair. Don't compare N82 with a PDA Xperia blah blah. N82 is not a PDA Phone. I hope u get my point. And we don't need to degrade phones here. We were just comparing so please watch ur words. oKay?

Why do we need touch screen? This is a HANDY PHONE. Not a PDA. I hope u know the difference between the two. And to tell u this, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional is not a GOOD OS because it has sooo many bugs and some kindy slow. It's not stable like Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0.

Try comparing Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 with Nokia N810, think they are the same type of phone. N82 is compared between K850i. Nokia is no loser to SE. I own a SE phone (K610i)for 1 year, no doubt it is good but I personally used N82 in a mobile phone fair and it is really great too. I think its always good that they compete against other phone making companies and make better phones but there's no point quarrelling. Can always write to your Favourite mobile phone company to give suggestion on improvements. Recently I just wrote one to suggest about integrating a solar panal to mobile phone to save energy and expand their battery lifespan. I hope in the near future they would come out with all the great features :)

touch screen isnt a big fuzz you know, no wonder touch screen doest last long and btw..after a year or so..touchscreen goes lost in time..

N82 and N9.same Os Different scren size.buy 8GB microsd (60$)and convert N82 to N95.that is.BOTH ARE super mobiles .if the processor speed was 500 mhz or 600mhz,it would be EXCELLENT.......
