so...in a few words, after what i have read most opinons this is a good , maybe very good phone. and i see that is possible to upgrade firmware. could anyone of you that had this phone tell me one realy bad things have (if it's have one :) ) . I want to buy this phone. Grettings , and sorry if my english isn't to good .bye

Touchscreen is important dude for a good phone so that you wont press the buttons too much specially this one the buttons are too small to press and it the buttons looks hared too press so I suggest that they should atleast created a touchscreen for this phone so that anytime my hands are tired of pressing those small buttons, I should atleast use the touchscreen w/out pressing that small buttons...understand that is why it is important for a great phone to have touchscreen ok "Mr. RxdT"..

Yup, it isn't a touch screen ph 4 people like me who don't like touchscreen.
And keys are not slippery, go & use a real one then comment!

Can any one tell me how to take away the red led light when video tape ??? I have the 8GB card for video, and it can take only 1 hours video ??? can any one tell me please..thanks

@ Andy Burgin,, it was quite difficult to get n82 i got mine sim free from carfone but cannot see it stocked by any operater yet but this is still new even tho they released it right away it did not get to uk before xmas....
Its a mass market device but suspect after taking on n95-1 then n958gb that the networks have to shift all them phones and may not take on n82 just yet...As for black well who knows unless as they are made they are sold right away???

I personally used to like SE, but since what almost every SE fan do is talk trash about Nokia, I'm starting to get ridiculed by SE and their fans.
This phone rocks btw, I own one and after I updated to the latest firmware, it's more flawless than ever.
Comparing the N82 to other 5MP cameraphones, this phone is obviously the winner. Even though N95 (Regular and 8GB) offers somewhat better autofocus results, the difference can only be seen if a photo is in macro-mode. And don't get me started on K850, that phone's camera only offers a cooler and snappier interface and a cool lens protector. Other than that, the results suck. The autofocus of K850 can't even work properly when it's zoomed more than 2/3.
But I must say, Nokia does need a lot of refreshments and updates. They are too old-fashioned, unlike SE. Though Nokia always offer ten thousand times cooler features than any other brands, people would still like a little breath of fresh air from Nokia.

N82 would be your best bet, especially your cam flash. It beats the N95 anyday, as LED is significantly weaker than Xenon.
As most people say, choose N82 for Xenon, or N95 for a bigger screen.
I've used the N82 for a while now, and I really cannot state anything that is bad with this phone. Maybe the lack of free products like GPS and N-Gage -- but oh well what company doesn't want more money from its consumers?
Other than that I can't really say anything when it comes to disadvantages of the N95 or the N82, both have fast processors, when updated to latest firmware neither will hang, and Symbian S60 V3.1 is definitely one of the best OS's around.

hi everybody,i am the fan of sonyericsson for 2 years owning K530i and N70 too both K530 and N70 having almost similar feature,now i am looking for best phone with HSDPA,5MP camera,wifi,flash,more memory.In SE there no single phone with the given feature,but G900 contains all the facility but the major draw back is absence of HSDPA.i feel very bad so i turn towards nokia and the phone in my selection is N82 and N95.while comparing these two phone with many other sites i got the best result that nokia N82 is best including RAM,cam flash,etc.Guys please give me some positive points about this wonderful phone and also its disadvantage.

Why?is it taking so long for Black N82 to be released i read a review about the N78 on www.mobile-review.com saying Nokia was not really producing many N78 an producing Bulks of numbers of the N82 expecting great sales on the N82 but i do not see many being seen in mobile phones shops i go past,i want to see an use the Black N82 before i decide to upgrade my contract or wait for the N96, but the networks aren"t really offering the N82 on contracts nowdays which seems very odd for supposed to be a top quality mobile

Don't be mistaken. I wouldn't call myself a fan of brand names, but rather a fan of good phones and their imaging qualities. I myself own a N82 and I love it due to its wide range of functionality, WiFi, GPS, and much more of that, with each function being perfect with what it's supposed to do.
However, I am trying to let people see past the European and American markets and show what's really out there.
I mean like, I see forums and forums of people arguing on and on about the K850i and the N82 (in my opinion N82 is MUCH better) but hardly anyone sticks a word about a market whose phones are neglected by the rest of the world, the Japanese market.
I'm just saying, open your eyes past the K850i and N82 fights.

a gps works in canada
ut 3 g in canada dose not work with 2100 we use 850 and 1900 hsdpa and gsm frequency
so
the attery will e etter then the n95 but no 3 g im getting fast internet from my phone it s my modem around canada it s the est ut if you cant connect to high speed
rogers is coming out with the n95 8g it s the same as the n82 just iger screan and 3g works in canada

guys, it is sooo easy to upgrade the firmware. go to nokia.com and search software updater. than follow the instructions.
and there is no need to convince somebody to buy this phone. read all the opinions and you will see no bad words about this phone.simply the best. I assure you won't regret buying it.

hey the one hu said that n82 in the phil. r all pack wid wifi how sure are u? have u been to every store here on philippines?
ahm i am very particular wid the gps does that work here on phils? cause thats 1 reason y im going to buy n82... or does it need any registration to some companies?
im from baguio here on philipines the summer capital of the phil... hope some1 help me wid this cause its sunday... d day that ill buy a phone and i realy am very interested wid this phone capabilities so i need urgent help....
i ma ask more wat does this phone do? its sems to have same wid my 5700.....
