N82 is a good piece of handy phone. It supports whatsapp at the time of this post (august 2013). There are supported softwares like coreplayer to play HD videos@ 320p. Smooth buttons and good OS system speed of operation. The camera is way good than n73 in terms of clarity (5mp) & equal to the standards of today's smart phones. It includes Wifi connectivity and GPS. With google MAPS for navigation.

- Even supports engage games.
There is a slot to insert External memory cards & the headphone jacket is standard oval headphone jacket ( fits all long pin headphones, which is awsome cos now days u can see d manufacturer's providing different slot versions on their phones removing the chances of using convectional headphones)
Over all verdict - A very useful phone. Im still using this is 2013 even though better smart phones have arrived, but hey this phone performs very well like them).
Pros- Sofwares dnt hang and whatsapp works unlike in n73 where whatsapp dnt work and its OS hangs a lot.
Dedicated graphics memory in n82 for ngage games.
- Awsome camera clarity and smooth OS operation.
- Supports most symbian softwares/ plays HD videos upto 320p using coreplayer.
Cons- Whatsapp uses mobile data continously and there is no option to switch it off without either switching off the phone or uninstalling whatsapp altogether, same with other softwares which require constant internet connection...,loosing precious mobile data plan.
- No way to permanently connect to wifi
- The keypads gets damaged in tight jeans pocket cos they are protuding.
- Phone prone to damage due to sweaty hands or sweaty heads while taking a call. (my personal experince).

AnonD-171532, 02 Aug 2013oh really? when N8 came, I really wanted to buy one but up... moreNever mind this guy, he bought a broken N8 with probably outdated software (or his parents bought it for him) and now keeps trolling on the N8 page and calling people names. If you know how to use it it can hold its own against any modern "smart"phone. I tried Android and (sadly) iOS but got the N8 anyway, a natural progress from my older S60v3 Symbian. Works like a charm. Sure, the 808 is even better, if you can afford it.

walkman, 31 Jul 2013n82 is better than n8 simple to operate than d slow n8..oh really? when N8 came, I really wanted to buy one but up to now I haven't... So N8 is really that inferior than N82? SO I 'll just get a Pureview instead?
Anyway, I love N82 as I have hacked it for personal convenience...

Ali, 23 Jun 2013the best mobile phone i like that :-) I bot an n82 in 2008. The n82 had a 5mp camera and true zenon flash (good for well saturated pictures in the dark up to two meters), all the standards at the time, including BlackBerry, and still works with them today. I has some of the best sound on any mobile, and with STEREO-WIDE speakers! And it plays video on TV out of the box! It's still a great phone. Only drawback is the small screen for maps and Internet. It still feels and works good, tho!

I just bough... moreThere are 2 solution 1:Turn off the phone and pres 3 and green key and star in the same time and turn on the phone then release keys after phone request you to select country and Second method is to update firmware with nokia suite or Phoenix service software (if you know what i mean ;)
