Yes of course! a lot of scene modes options. In the camera window there are icons on the right side of the screen, select capital letter "A" then scroll down to night mode.

          @Alexander

I bought 6110 Navigator back in November last year and while "trying" GPS navigation I was billed about 300 dollars by Fido as GPS reciever always asked the network connection to connect (dont know the logic behind if the phone has the built-in GPS reciver). Now I have N82 and I haven't tried the GPS using network but WLAN instead. HSPDA will be the same case if supported btw you are right N82 is not supported here as it is not yet launched in North America. If you are buying this phone for GPS... then foget it... otherwise the phone is really awsome...

are you looking at those pics on your phones display? transfer both pics at your pc then you'll see the benefit of having a xenon flash instead of led. But if you really want your pics to turn out realistic on nightclub environment, then use night mode.

                i got N82 2 months ago.
                my ipressions:
                positives:
                - fabulous gps system
                - perfect performing camera (even better than regular cameras in auto option!)
                - excellent headphone sound quality and browser
                - very solid and strong body delighted with a non-scractable surface.
                negatives:
                - phone color is too solid silver which makes boring/annoying (there has to be sone attraction on visiality to make some contrast)
                - no balance if you put onside down in order to take pictures in timer mode! VERY IMPORTANT FOR SUCH CAMERA PHONE!!!!
                - little bit haeavy
                - ringing sound quality is NO GOOD! no crystal clear sound.
                - menu is too complicated which makes even easy actions difficult

in total i am happy to get this phone. i think still the best phone compare to its price!

@ somebody that knows about cameras

excuse my ignorance but i understand that the major difference between this and the n95 in regards to the camera is the n82s xenon flash.

however, after comparing photos taken by both phones in dark conditions (nightclubs) is it just me or do the n95s pics look more natural? i mean the n82s are clearer no doubt but it seems like somebody is standing there shining a powerful spotlight on the subject whereas the n95s pics actually give that realistic impression that you are in a dark nightclub. when you come to look at the pics at a later date the n95 pics will show you exactly what the atmosphere was like in that club whereas the n82s will be really bright (which is how it was not in that club)

the reason i ask is cos i really want the n95 8gb but the lack of xenon is turning me towards this.... plz answer my query

I'm thinking of buying a new phone, which is better to buy, the N95 or the N82? coz they seem really alike except for the memory and the design.

p.s. can the camera in the front of the phone take pictures? (N95 and N82)

notice everyone who says somethin negative about n82 doesn't have the unit...
and for cryin out loud...i don't think they could ever get one for themselves...
and so all they could ever do is whine the crappp outta their brains and go lick someother units of lower build and skill...
                        watttaa let down...
anywayz...i dont see anybody here who got the unit...and was disppointed ever...unless u got somethin' better to offer then im all too willing to dump this silver cinderella...
until then...n82 scraps every other phone there is...

                        PEACE ya all

I tink N95 is still better. everything is the same but this N82 got no infrared. N95 got all types of connectivities.

N73 has an AUTO KEYPAD LOCK!
just go to tools>settings>security>phone and sim>autolock period...you can set the time(minutes that is)before your keypad can be locked

the only time that we can be certain that theres a BLACK N82, if NOKIA announces it themselves.

theres a BLACK version of this phone alright...but it's not an ORIGINAL N82. a CLONE version from china. wonder why mobile companies such as NOKIA would allow some chinese manufacturers to copy their phone. here in the philippines CLONED phones are everywhere. name it, they have it. they were being smuggled from the land of the clone(CHINA). BEWARE...
