@mehdi

the pencil key function was placed at the * key. Don't worry about it, you still have those functions at a single click.

    @Adam

    We have the same first impression with N82's display cause i also have an N73ME and that disappoint me at first. But did you take a deeper look at N82's display? Here's how: take a picture with a colorful subject using your N82 then send it to N73 using bluetooth. Now look at the picture on both phones at the gallery and tell me which phones display is sharper, and gives you the right color... N82, right? the only problem with N82's display is its brightness. Let's just hope that Nokia will correct that in their future firmware upgrades. Good luck!

        I was expecting it for more than 2 months. When it finally arrived, i found where to sell my old phone (N73 ME), and went to get it. It sure has all the expected tons of features + gps/wifi + great quality lens,

        BUT...

        (here's my own "but") i found out N82 isn't exactly as it seemed. Its hard plastic makes it look quite "cheap" and casually made, not to mention that it made me feel like it's more cumbersome than it really is.
        The great disappointment of all though concerned its display. The N82 display, despite its 16.7 million colors, doesn't deserve its place among the Nseries phones. Of course, it's a lot better than any $100-cellphone display, but it is quite unsatisfactory if you compare it to any of the n95, n81, even n73 displays. I indeed saw it live next to both the versions of n95, and both the versions of n81 (so I had the chance to confirm my above points of view). I was checking the phone, its menus, its whole deal for about 15 minutes, till i got irreversibly disappointed (for an Nseries phone). It's important for all of you not to stick with the internet's n82 photos - go see it live somewhere. Then you'll get my point.

        I was expecting it for 2 months. I finally didn't buy it. I'd rather stick with my n73ME, which has better display and quite good camera and storage. I keep believing though that the N95-8gb is the best phone of its class (but i can't afford it)...

            The N82 is indeed a suitable replacement for your digital camera.

            Proof:

              If I had to ditch my phone or my camera I would ditch the camera. I mean, it doesn't do much. I don't know anyone that carries a digital camera around as an EDC. I always carry my wallet, knife, and phone wherever I go, and those three items have become my Every Day Carry for the past 3 years. I don't have room for one more device, and I think most people fall into the same category. You make a valid point, but the fact is this phone can replace a digital camera for MOST people.

                ok folks here is the unbiased truth about this phone (n82).....

                i have owned it for 2 months and yes, it is the best mobile on the market today, no doubt. no other handset even comes close to it in terms of functionality, camera, etc.
                and if you dont like to carry a digital camera, mp3 player, sat nav on you as seperate devices this is the mobile for you.

                BUT.......(and here's my point)

                although it has the best camera and functions etc. i believe it is better to carry a seperate stand alone digital camera and just get a simpler, more reliable, faster phone cos even this great camera cant compare to a stand alone digital camera

                plz dont start slating me now, i just gave my opinion

                                  n82 loudspeaker is not as loud as in n95 but nervertheless its still good specially with earpones.

                                  n82 housing/casing is made from hard aluminum i think (i cant really tell) faceplate front and back are made from hard plastic, i think housing/casing of n82 can be change or replace just like almost all nokia phones whis is good specially wen u drop or scratch ur unit, a good quality housing/casing can be a good replacement just hope they dont make fancy housing/casing with desing that make the unit cheap lol

                                        Wish the d-pad was thicker. Thumb can cramp up since it hits edge. Would prefer joystick or nav wheel. Pressing #2, 4, 6, n 8 helps a bit for the net. I do like the one-hand browsing. iPhone cant achieve this. A thinner width is often overlooked vs a thinner depth. Just adding themes and a ton of animated pix from HoFo as screensavers. Still luv it. So many ways to customize an S60.
