the n-series is'nt grouped that way, it's kinda irregular... but I noticed that hte higher the number (like 70, 73 or 95), the higher its release cost... don't know, but i just noticed that it works like that ^_^ V

guyz, just got my n82 the other day, i tell u, it rocks!!!i was keeping my dough for w960i to hit our shore, but since it's taking forever, i gambled on this hottie.i'm no big fan of nokia, due to its OS which almost always shows lag time(kinda annoying really) - even for ur most glorified n73 and n95-1-my wife used to have both units(she's now using k850i).im wowed by its snappy responsiveness, huge 2.4" display is so clear even under the afternoon sun, connectivity is magnificently stable - i got a wireless router sa bahay, inet browser opens in a jiffy, scrolling in pages is effortless(not to mention screen autorotate functionality),the dreaded n91ish keypad is surprisingly easy to use, mp3 in wide stereo surround 3.5mm headset, GPS maps options, quickofx viewr for my documents, dual core processor with a dedicated display rendering chip, and oh...have i mentioned the superb 5mp carl zeiss cam???pictures come out very natural and in crisp state-the best in all camphones i've seen so far-kahit sa tv out, amazing!
now-comparing it with n95 8gb,iphone,w960, and even other "advanced"units ng samsung and SE,i doubt if they can even get a decent match.and btw- dont waste ur hard earned money sa KU990-how dare them setup the mobile crowd with their disgusting marketing scam, i mean scheme, ephone lang sa mega meron units, di avail sa ibang shops, superhigh tuloy ng price-Php25k,that's about $600!enuff said-go buy your own n82 - i'd be happy to bet my balls - u will never regret it. gish-even my wife is getting jealous of this hottie-spending more time with it-hehehe.and btw- battery life-with heavy usage for two days now- games, wifi, calls, texts, downloads, after a full recharge the first time, its still got 40%.2gb mc included.love it to bits.yahooooo!!!

I want to purchase the N82 and I wanted to know if there's a sale price going on. I asked a guy who own's a cellphone shop and he's asking for $700 Canadian. I saw someone paying $550 for it. So I wanted to know if I can purchase it for that price or better so I can go ahead and order it.

                Thank you,
                Jazz

I thought from n70-n79 are supposed to be Candy bar and flip phones, n80-n89 are sliding phones, n90-n99 are special like dual slide, flip-twist. Aren't they grouped in this way?! Why this Candy-bar phone appeared in N82 not in
n70-n79 range model or maybe I've been mistaken
because they didnt even grouped it like that haha.

Kinda funny thing haha.. I have a cybershot t100 digital camera and it uses carl-zeiss lens that also been used in some of the nokia phones.. but on sony ericsson cybershot phones, they doesnt use any special lens but they called it cybershot. I think nokia looks more like cybershot camera. Even the flash are more like digital cameras. Those SE k800,k810,k850 flash doesnt even hit bright in 3 metres. Their flash are only can be set to Auto, Off, Red Eye.. "NO" ON. But nokia still keep their flash with the ON function with the xenon flash in n82 so n82 is more like a digital camera while k800,k810 and k850 still doesnt really can compare to any digital camera.

The Nokia N82 is definitely the current king of imaging in the Nseries family, and a serious match for most of the stand-alone point and shoot digital cameras on the market.

The build quality is phenomenal, and the battery life is top notch, as well. The Xenon flash on the N82 really makes a difference, and the auto-focusing Carl Zeiss lens make for some really nice pictures, even for printing, which is a feat for any cameraphone.

Based on everything that the N82 does, and does so well, I rate the Nokia N82 as "Highly Recommended."

I recently bought this phone (mostly for the camera features) a couple of weeks ago and it has been great. I currently have Cingular service and the sound quality is pretty good. The video quality is excellent as long as you don't zoom in too much. The pictures I took are excellent as well. Funny thing, I have the pictures set to take at maximum size BUT they range from 768 Kbytes to 1.7 Mbytes. The GPS is awesome and fast but only works with A-GPS. I will need to get an unlimited data plan because the data transfer uses EDGE or 3G $$$. I know the specs of this phone say 3G (2100mhz) only in Europe but I was clocked at 768K when downloading the GPS maps and for positioning. The wifi works really well but I can't send and receive POP3 mail through wifi, only through the EDGE or 3G wavelengths. One issue, Nokia does not have a carrying case for it, but it did come with a 2GB MicroSD card. I also downloaded the firmware updater but there are no updates for the phone(so says the software).
Great size and weight when holding it or in my pocket. This phone is light years ahead of what Cingular is offering their customers, which is a pity considering the price. I confess, I haven't finished reading the user manual front to back, but most of the functionality is easy to figure out. Still, worth the $550 I spent on it.

Quite the rant Jetsson haha. But totally justified, and very correct as well. It's really too bad those of us who own and love the n82 can't fully enjoy this forum/comments page because the rest of you love to hate on it all day. And to anyone that says "5 megapixels is not enough/not good/poor for nokia, they should have at least 10 mpx"...you know NOTHING of digital camera technology. You could put a 20mpx camera in it, but if the lens is the size of a pin head (many samsungs for example), you're still not going to get quality pics. As Jetsson said, this is an excellent point and shoot camera, nothing more, and certainly nothing less. If you want more, go SLR. If you want less, go sony k850i. I'm not trying to stir controversy, but I bought the k850i for my sister for christmas (she's a devout SE fan), and she has no problem admitting the N82 OWNS her phone in terms of pic quality. BUT, the k850 is really fun to play with, looks quite nice (I got her the green version), and attracts many compliments...but its just nowhere close to the N82.

This is the best camera phone in the market today. You only have to read reviews on here and mobileburn.com if you need the proof. I would not say its the best design but it has got the best features and camera than any other mobile phone.

                              Guys,
Could you tell me, how much better GPS Receiver worked on N82?
I have N73, and I'm very enjoy with this one specially with dimension, but i need GPS Receiver to support my job. N95 have good GPS Receiver but size not to good in my pocket.
                              Thanks

hey guys why did nokia make a remake of a failed model.. the company had bitter experience with the n91.. and now again its given a phone thats very much simalar looking to that.. i really am talking about the egronomics of this phone...
well i strongly oppose calling this phone a succesor to the N73 , which was a marvel of mobile technology ...
