@ anyone

The battery life is of only 225hrs, similar to that of the N95 which has been very critized since it was made public.
It is not comparable to the N73 because the N82 has a more powerful processor, graphics accelerator, wifi, gps and other enhanced features that consume more battery.
N82 has great features, but you won't be able to use them without thinking twice:
.3.5mm jack but you can't listen to mp3 for more than an hour or two.
.wifi and gps will drain your battery very quickly and you won't be able to make calls.
.VGA 30fps video recording but you will never fill the memory card before the battery goes off...
.N-Gage gaming platform but...

And so on.
With the N81 Nokia improved a lot the battery life. I got impressed, but with N82 they have gone backwards with what was supposed to be one of the best phones to date.

If anyone is curious just take a look to the Samsung i550 or the i560 (both Symbian series 60), they are at least interesting, and the i550 boasts a 1200mAh battery.

Well mAh doesnt matter at all.Phones with 900mAh have 9hours talktime and 400hrs standby time. And i agree with you on what you said.Check out k850i,w960i,p1i they all have less than 1000mAh but provide more than what 1200mAh nokia phones provide...(a SE 1200mAh battery will last your lifetime and never run out of battery)..just kidding...k850i rocks

I don't know about you, but it seems like Nokia is just making copies of their own phones. The N81, for example, isn't much different than the N95. Sure, the form factor is different, zenon flash, accelerometer, N-gage platform... And well, that's really about it. It's nothing REALLY new! I want to see a Nokia offer more phones with a FULL KEYBOARD, I want to see a higher resolution display than QVGA, I want to see a new and improved Symbian O/S platform - whatever happened to series 80? Did they just quit and let S60 take over everything? I want to see the new OMAP3 processors implemented already... And last but not least, please PLEEEEAASEEE, implement Tri-Band WCDMA!!! North America is constantly being left out of the Nokia 3G bubble, it's ridiculous!!!

Sure, Nokia is pumping out more new phones on the market faster than any other brand, but they're basically all clones of eachother, with minor cosmetic differences that are barely even noteworthy. Where's the groundbreaking new phone that will stray from the old familiar boring herd of sheep..?

I'm not trying to say that one brand is better than another, I'm just saying that Nokia is capable of stepping up their game to offer more solutions toward the 'Application Intensive' customers such as myself, instead of focusing on the 'Media Intensive' crowd... There are more things to a cell phone than a cool camera, MUCH more - and Nokia needs to focus (no pun intended) on these other aspects of mobile technology.

Otherwise, this seems like a great cell phone, basically better than any other phone IN THE SAME CLASS but I'm not particularly impressed.

Who the hell is bothered about Motorola pal this is about the New N82 an this will out shine any Motorola phone don"t you worry, they have had very crap year an were supposed to be the number 2 sales people but now they are way down the list an can only produce cheap mobiles as there functions are rubbish an to slow, the N82 looks as though its going to be really aloud mobile with 2 speakers at the top an bottom on both sides of it,but i will now be waiting for some reviews of the N82 as Nokiablog keep sending me emails showing pictures taken by the N82 an they look very good indeed even inside using the xenon flash, but its the buttons i ant to read about are they simple to use being that small

I really don´t know how I could use a cell phone so nice and expensive like this. I would also like to know how you can use it with no problems at all

It seems most non die-hard SE fans who own a K800i is now looking to the N82 rather than the K850i!
Simply the K850i retailing at a similar price can not messure up with N82 by all means.
A more powerful battery and half a dozen power adaptors would make the N82 a useful device.

I look forward for the day a dirt cheap fuel cell power battery that would last a hundred times more than these rechargable ones today.

the nokia 3310 is still popular where i live but fones were more fun then with swap covers and good responsive keypad,,and yes i cant believe people still using them,,obviously they must have bought new batteries but their pimped to bits..They could have made a choice of colours tho as kettles,,toasters microwaves all have a varied colour scheme ,,wat about luminous green neon red or electric white
