Have had my N82 2yrs now and, whilst I've recently got a HTC HD2, I still use the N82 with a PAYG sim as a MP3 player (both in the car and on foot) and fantastic camera.
I'm also interested in the new Ovi maps upgrade that offers free satnav (!) and wondered if anyone here has tried it out yet?

suyan, 10 Feb 2010hi! i just use my n82 for 2 months, it is an absolutely ver... moreBasically, V35 only improves the speed of the phone. Not much difference compared to the V31 on my N82. If you want to update it, you can download the Nokia software updater from the Nokia site.

Hi friends,
I had this phone for 3 months. Last week I used this as GPS and used the wind shield mount. It was a sunny day and AC was not working. I almost used 2 hours. I think it got heated up and I stopped using the GPS. That evening I used fring as usual and when I just logged out of Fring, it froze. then I had to pull out the battery. then after restarting I got a black screen(only backlight), thats all. no booting. I took it to my technician friend and tried to reinstall software using JAF, MT box and UFCV2. but its failing at the last step. That is installing the third file in the V35 update. Now I've given it to Nokia care. They said the phone is dead and will try to reinstall software, but not much scope. Need to wait for two days more.
Friends, does anyone know what really happened to my N82?
Is this a H/w fault or a s/w fault?
Any idea?

hi! i just use my n82 for 2 months, it is an absolutely very good phone!! i hear there's some new firmware n i think i want to upgrade it. my phone use v.30. how does it work? is it better with v.35? and how to upgrade v.35 to my phone? i used SE before, this is my 1st nokia.

no more white haze problem in this device dude. It is worth to update your current firmware to v35

1. bass on the loudspeaker more deeper
2. the sound via earphone is more clear and powerfull compare than previous firmware version.
3. faster gallery loading.
4 camera startup become more faster.
5. improve GPS signal locking
6. still hackable using hellox
7. font on device changing a little bit
note : I currently not found any bugs on this new firmware. everythings work fine even in heavy usage.
