Some fake opinions (i can tell) ... is making this page smelling sometimes. All i care is, my N85 has been serving me very well. To me its an excellent accesory that could complement one's lifestyle. Ex-N95 user.

ooobama, 25 Jan 2009OLED screen last only 5 years or so, then the colors fade b... moreHow do u know the OLED can only last for 5 yrs? What abt TFT screen? How is its GPS? Can it display the whole page of photos or graphics with only 80MB of internal memory as compared to 32GB of internal memory in N97

Before I actually purchased this phone, I made researches, read reviews and opinions about this phone.I thougt USD385 its a good price, so I bought it.I kept it for one week, and decided to return it,even though I will have to pay 15% restoking fee.I am very dissapointed.
          What I liked the most:

          -Excellent dispay quality
          -wireless internet
          -hot swappable memory cards

          What I hated the most:

-5MP camera doesn't take good shots indoors with or without flash.I am not happy with the quality of this camera at all.
-Instead of fixing the zooming on a picture, they prefered to remove this feature.
-Voice comands can't be edited with your voice (the phone won't recognize my accent,or my contacts. Ex: Maria is spoken as Mariah.Non english names sounds funny when they are readed by the phone. On one of my previous nokia(6230i) I could record my own voice)
This feature is very important for me when driving.
-you can't delete all contacts at once (or if you can,I couldn't find this feature)
-writing a text message lets you insert objects like music files,pics,videos....but where are the emoticons???
-I couldn't find a master reset option, wich would delete internet history, email settings, maps, contacts, and all other personal information. You have to go manualy to remove them in each submenu(The reset to factory settings feature doesn't do that).
-I don't see the purpose of sliding the phone other than showing the number keys.
-Agree with some reviwers wich said the construction of this phone feels cheap.
-My favorite radio station is on 87.7 The phones frequency starts at 88.1 and up.
-It takes ages to update the music/videos library)
-Several crashes wich require to reboot the device.
As you can see, the most of my concerns are about software.Well, S60 sucks.
But overall, I didn't like this phone. And belive me, am a nokia fan.I had many phones and internet tablets by nokia.I still love nokia. But not the N85

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2009N85 has an ordinary processor. Same processor used in middl... morethe dual processors on the n82 and n95 don't work at the same time, i mean they don't give u speeds of 664 mhz, and the 3d hw acelerator isn't very helpful.

dinesh, 25 Jan 2009most remarkable point its processer is two time stronger than n95N85 has an ordinary processor. Same processor used in middle entry phones such as 5700, 6120c, 6220c, N81, N78. It's a Freescale ARM11 369MHz single chip processor. Nothing special about it.
N95 and N82 have the most powerful processor, dual core TI OMAP 2420 ARM11 332MHz with 3D graphics accelerator.

N85 and N79 are identical in features but different only in form factor. But it's wiser to get N79 since it's more solid, durable and cheaper. N85 has build issues. The OLED is not worth it. Get N79 instead.

This instrument is on loan, N81 crashed completely - phone is problematic, restarts impulsively, cuts of callers when screen rotates, is hanging a lot, and response is pathetic - a very good reason if you are looking for frustration - Stay away!!

I love the N85 OLED screen and its the biggest right now, most companies wont make them because they are too expensive to produce right now. Colors are so nice to look at with a decent camera and a 2.6 inch screen, i love to show my pictures on this phone. I had the 8800 arte but the OLED screen was a little small compare to this one. N85, thanks Nokia.

i had this device for 3days now, and i must say it impresses me a lot i dont miss my iphone 3g that much when i had this phone N85. the screen is bright and crisp, the connectivity is awesome, the video camera is good enough, camera is fine. what i like is the most is the software update via air its very very useful. the N-gage game is fine but cannot compare with iPhone games. Nokia must make a system like the apple app store i think this help iPhone what it is today. if nokia have this form of app store it will rule the phone world again.
