it is an amazing phone. i've been using it since november and it is just so useful, modern, and powerful. it makes me feel good when the others see it in my hands. the nokia cell phone ever

The camera performs poorly in low light conditions - a lot of noise!
Miss the voice dial function available on my old N95.

I've just gotten N85 few days back. Well, I was so excited about it but it turn out to be pretty disappointing. =(
The sound quality SUCKS! Gosh. I was using N73 ME previously, I bluetooth-ed the mp3 tones over to N85 and also set it as my ringing tones. To my horror, it sounds like the file of the mp3 is very bad quality !! You can definitely hear the big difference between the sound quality of a same song with N73 ME & N85.
So sad!
Next, the buttons are not really that user friendly, as in not really that nice to type at all. Worst is the navigation keys. You will feel pain after pressing over and over again. I was viewing the images so I will have to press right or left to view the next images. So that causes the pain to my thumb.
Camera? 5mp but not a very big deal. N95 is much better. My sister is using N95 8gb. So I used it to take a same object and compare it with N85. The image appeared on N85 seems to be a little blurish, not very sharp whereas N95 is like so WOW~.
Lastly, about the SMS. N73 ME will show the time of the message being received or sent at the inbox or sent items. But N85 doesn't have this! Can't set. I have to go to options and then message details to check the timing of the message. Maybe not a big issue to you guys but for me, who've been used to such view will feel very uncomfortable.
In conclusion, N85 music quality sucks big time. Not very worth the money. I'm gonna sell it away!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970N85 ofcourse it's well made faster even without the huge ram of n95 and better interface , fm transmitter which is pretty amazing and faster GPS navigation and amazing size and better battery life !!

Hi.. i have a question.. In the pictures of N85, there is a green color OVI icon.. can anyone please tell what is this icon & how does it appear on the phone??.. i use ovi extensively & it will be cool to have this icon onthe front screen..

I have problem with the battery. I have this phone since November, the battery on the average will last at 12hrs after full charge. I charge it before I sleep at night, at average daily use, ie., 30mins calls, 40txt msgs, 30mins hsdpa use, the battery will be drained in the evening. I make sure that phone is in power saving mode, no running apps in the background and set the network back to GSM mode after I use it for web browsing at Hsdpa mode.
There are days when I charged it in the afternoon, battery strength is 3bars before I sleep and in the morning, the phone turned off as its battery is totally drained. The phone is in standby mode at night! I really think this is a hardware problem since I already updated to the latest software. Right now as Im typing this post in my pc, my phone just went off. I fully charged it this morning. This is the worst phone battery experience I ever had, I'm missing my E51 it got a superb battery life, should'nt upgrade to this phone.
Anyone having this kind of problem? Can anyone suggest solution before I go to Nokia customer center? Do you experience the phone heating up too much when using the camera and watching video?
Many N85 owner here are posting that their phone lasts up to 2 days and up to 4 days, how come mine does not last that long..

Just to check , the icon appear on the top right is not indicating the incoming msg , but it is the indicator that mmc card is in the phone. You take out the mmc card and the icon will gone
