N85 NAM shipping through NokiaUSA website. Got the $50 discount to $502. Also $20 off the extended warranty. Maybe be important because in my European version, dust seems to get into the lens cavity. I ordered last night at 11pm, told by Nokia it was shipped at 10 AM today. Also free three day shipping, so in all may well be cheaper than getting it off Ebay. All the reports are right, this is an outstanding phone with much better music quality than my N95-3, and a great size for the hand. Camera takes terrific pictures. Slider is great, and this key pad is easy to use and I find less prone to texting mistakes than my n95. Even with the European version, I get 1900 3g in Denver, but miss the 3G in Lauderdale for example because it is 850.

yonyon, 10 Dec 2008grrrrrrrrrrrr.. so many negative feedback with this phone.... moreNo this phone do not worth to buy. Look cheap made and preform cheap. I buy two for me and my wife. after two weeks sold it. I have N79 better but not that good and 5800.

i bought ths phone 2 days back and ws vry satisfied until i discovered tht whn i used camera in my room evn in normal light thr ws haziness n grains on screen so i replaced wth anothr one bt to my horror in th camera mode i cld see vibratory lines n grains evn more thn th first one...nw im gonna buy n95 8gb as dont hv othr option...will it b a wise decision????n all 85 user do check u hv th same prob...

Both have strength and weakness
N82 Strength over N85
1. Camera at night N82 is the best
2. N gage games is faster on N82
3. Has more NAD Ram useful when loading surfing the net with a very high content (Flash content etc.) using WiFi N82 is the best in this part but only for a heavy webpage to load. N82 will not run out of ram when loading those pages
4. LCD display readable at day light / bright daylight
5. N82 is much much more durable when it comes to build quality (although N85 has a good quality the sliding mechanism overtime, for about a year or two it will degrade its quality but still durable depending on how you take good care of your device)
N85 Strength over N82
1. Camera speed when taking picture is faster than N82
2. Over all speed (open application etc.) faster than N82
3. Have animated menu
4. AMOLED display is much much much a WOW factor and a must to see indoors. Although a very weak in daylight which taking picture at daylight making it hard to use as a view finder.
5. has FM transmitter
6. Has more personalization customization (set audio tone / speech, warning tones, etc)
7. Slightly larger display
Regardless of the price I choose N85, but if you are on a tight budget you can select N82
If you chose N82 over N85
The only thing that you will miss is
1. Much more option for personalization including animation of the Menu
2. The AMOLED display perfect Indoors but not Outdoors
3. Slightly slower performance when opening some application

How about the video playback on N series phones??? (N79,81,85,95) In what format is the video supported?? Does nokia PC suite support conversion to reccomended format from any other format while transfering video to phone??
