I really like this fone
except for the fact that AMOLED technology has a major disadvantage of limited lifetime
if you go2 mobile-review.com and find an article about an interview with a nokia spokesmen there is reference to the n85's screen having a lifetime of 1000hours
do you guy think that can last a good 3yrs?

The Nokia Store in Philippines is already showed this phone in their shop,But i dont know when it will be released in the market,But i think its on Last week of October

Really don't know if i should buy this one...Good functions but the looks is so plain and boring. Spending so much money for a dull looking phone. Need a good camera in a flashy phone, maybe the new LG 8Mp Renoir...

-Cool int... moreactually, its camera is a downgrade from n95's camera. although it's got a dual led flash and lens cover, its camera lens is smaller compared to n95/8gb.
some say it's an n81 successor but actually n85 is an improved version of n95 classic. if n96 is to n95 8gb, then n85 is to n85...
what i'm concerned about this phone is how the lack of a 3d graphics chip will affect camera, video quality, and also gaming on n85.

i'm really torn between n85 and n95 8gb. n85 seems to be the better version of n95 but there are few things that hold me from choosing this phone for my next purchase. i'm quite worried that it might not be able to perform on par with my previous n82. this phone doesn't have a dual processor plus 3d graphics accelerator and i think that's very crucial in performing multimedia functions. and besides it's not yet released here in dubai. i really like this n85 because i think it's an intelligent smartphone.

Nokia should hve waited for a while probably few months as its almost replica of N96 which can affect sales of N96. yes, smaller version of N96...

-Better battery life
-Smaller but better quality screen (great contrast)
-Camera upgraded with dual LED flash and cover
-Uses an 8gb memory card instead of flash memory for faster transfers using a memory card reader

I've decided to trade off my n95 8gb for this...the n85 is better than the n95 8gb at everything...put aside the screen of course...though a 2.6 inch screen is still great, not to mention its an awesome OLED screen.

gotten hold of the N85 for the past 2 days.... Excellent phone I must say. Games are entertaining, WiFi works well, Screen resolution is the best I have seen and used so far. Battery life is very good. Been stressing the phone on FM radio, Bluetooth, WiFi, Video, Music, Internet the whole of yesterday. The Battery life only drops by 2 bar out of 6.
Only question is, anybody knows how the FM Transmitter works?
