I think this is going to be a better buy than the N96, it has OLED and it looks like it has a better build than the N95 but since I got that I should wait for the next NSERIES Touch in 2010 or maybe this year.

No Contract offers available for the N85 as i can"t wait to see the better build of this mobile as it looks superb,but i will not be getting the N85 to early as Nokias got 6 new mobiles on there way soon an should be announcing them around the 2nd October an i am sure there 8 mega-pixel camera mobile will be announced to cut the sales down of the i8510,thats the news mobile-review as given out on there website,so keep a close eye on things before getting the N85 to early, as thats what you always have to do with Nokia you get one of there mobiles an a better mobile from them becomes available

I have sold my N96, now waiting to buy N85.
The reasons why I sold my N96 which I hope and pray that N85 wont not have the same problems :
I really hate to admit this, Nokia N96 is such a huge disappointment. Perhaps my expectation were too high.
- Camera despite being 5mp with Carl Zeiss lens, it is actually worse than N78 3.2mp, and cannot hold a candle to N82.
- Shutter button are hard to press, in order to get good shot one need to be VERY STILL.
- To reply a SMS, needs a bit of patience, in short, laggy !
- DTV is useless if your telco dont support it, or worse, charge for it.
- N-Gage is not pre-installed, very strange.
- Changing menu view from Grid to V, Horseshoe or List, need a reboot to get back to Grid view.
- Cannot installed MSN due to some system files already installed. Then, MSN completely disappeared from the Download Section.
- Keypad was initially good for texting, now starts creaking and became a dust magnet.
- Pressing PLAY button does not kick start the Media Player during standby.
- It crashed 3 times already, last time I have to do a painful *#7370# to reset back to Factory state.
Maybe some firmware updates will solve the above issues, but it definitely can't fix those hardware issue, plus I dont know when the new firmwares will be out, and I have no patience with buggy phones.
On the fair, the sound system via Headphone is very good, built-in speakers are just as good but not as loud as N95/N95 8GB.
Meanwhile, my SIM Card is going back to N82 and I'm patiently waiting for N85 . . .

You are better off getting the N85, keep in mind that even though the Innov8 runs Symbian S60 it lacks the Nseries exclusive software such as Search4.0 ,Conversation, Ngage, WLan Mgr in Stand By etc. . . It also lacks the Multimedia keys to run all that Multimedia. SAMSUNG Innov8 is NOT a complete Multimedia device, you WILL be back on NOKIA after trialing the Innov8.

The reviews of the n96 and n85 prototypes at mobile-review show that according to the RMAA tests, their audio quality is the same. But, if you check the 5220 xpressmusic prototype review, the tests reveal that it is slightly better than both (which i personally doubt).
Just be patient and wait for the review of the commercial value.

Aussiee, 16 Sep 2008I think n79 has all the features this fone has except the o... moreN79 doesn't differ much with N85 in terms of functionality. They can do the same things. Differences between them are just minor. And N79 doesn't differ with N95 also. So N79 with its lower price is indeed a very smart choice.
