The only good thing about 5800 is the touchscreen. But in everything else N85 is a lot better. N85 has more advanced features than 5800. OLED screen, 5MP camera, FM transmitter, Naviwheel, and dual slide with physical keypad and media keys that can be used for music, gaming, gallery and web browsing. It's very hard to use 5800 for gaming because of the lack of physical keypad and media keys.

Can the FM transmitter be used to transmit calls over a car radio??

Syam, 16 May 2009I just bought n85 from nokia priority store in coimbatore. ... moredude this is absolutely normal.this is not a defect. this happens in all N85s. may be you have noticed ,the scroll stops automatically after a few minutes if u dont disconnect the charger from the phone. so dont panic and there's no need to go to the service centres, just enjoy your phone. cheers

which is better n85 or 5800???..just want 2 ask something,do 5800 has keypad?just dont mind the grammar if there something wrong...ahahaha

I got a N85 and 5800,i think 5800 is better,5800 is a touch screen phone and wif 2 Superb Stereo speaker,some people doesnt lik touch screen fone because maybe it will be not accurate or not sensitive,but 5800 wont,n85 is good at camera,my brother is using n82,n82 vs n85 camera,n82 is better and better,n82 got xenon flash and n85 just LED,so for those who wan sound quality=5800,wan camera=n82,n85 is too expensive,and it cant detect memory card sometimes and charge with USB(orbit),it is my suggestion,now im using 5800 my n85 just sold it,5800 sound quality is really extremely superb,go for it

Is N85 better? Why?Nokia N85 is better than Nokia N82 because:
1. N85 has a AMOLED 2.6 inch screen
2. N85 has a FM Transmitter + RDS Radio
3. N85 has a dual slider for media & games
4. N85 uses the lastest Symbain OS (9.3)
5. N85s dual LED flash can also be used when taking videos

I just bought n85 from nokia priority store in coimbatore. As th saleman asked I charged it for 8 hours in off condition. Then when i charge th phone in on condition, it charges normally. I mean th there is charge scroll indicates charging. Now suppose if i switch off th supply but leave th charger connected to phone, the charge indicator still scroll. Only if i unplug th connector from th phone , th phone charge indication stops scroll. This occurs in no other phone. Nokia or not! I upgraded th software. Tried new battery n new charged. Th problem still persists. There has numerous such complaints at nokia service centre from such customers. What should i do? Some one please help me. Contact me at sreesyamd

Is there anyone how have upgraeded N85 firmware to v20.175? Whats new with it & also whats phone stability is like with new firmware?
My current firmware version is 11.047. Should I upgrade with v20.175 or not?
Please help me wit this.

The new N85 firmware ruins the consistency of the user interface. There are applications which have the old icons and there are now applications which have the touch icons. Why didn't they make it all touch icons?

I have a question that concerns textmessages.
I heard that if you want to send a picture-smiley (not :) or :D but the small yellow faces) in your messages you have to have a certain program installed on the phone. Is that true?

guys..plz help.... i bought my N85 3 months before ,
till now i couldn't use it for a week . I had given this phone 3 times to nokia care but it returned undone.
my N85's problem is that :sometimes when i open the camera lens shutter ,it shows a blank screen( secondary cam also) and during that time ,videos in the gallery does not play . When the phone returned for the third time firmware was updated but still having the same problem
what should i do ? I like this phone very much & i want it to be replaced N85 itself !

How's the video recording quality of this phone during zooming?? I have N73 m.e. now, while recording video, if i try 2 zoom in till 4x, the quality is acceptable, more than that the video gets totally distorted..
