amit_rulz, 08 Jan 2010hey guys which 1 do u think is better phone & also valu... moreamit_rulz,
I have both the i8910HD and the Nokia N86 8mp...both phones are amazing...but there are area where one is better than the other....like for instance...the camera of the i8910HD offers more settings but u often have to make adjustments just to get the perfect settings for a scene.....the N86 has very limited camera settings but u never have to adjust any settings its just point and shoot and the picture are amazing...the flash of the i8910 seems brighter but the N86 is more powerful....
the screen is where the i8910HD wins plus its AMOLED is alot brighter than than the N86....
the sound quality of the N86 is poor...its not that loud plus its not clear when it is loud...the sounds are terrible and listening to music isnt really pleasurable....the earphone are low as well...but with the i8910HD its loud, clear and sounds great...the earphone are loud too....
i got my nokia N86 for about US$450 but the i8910HD cost about US$700...
The newer firmware of the Nokia N86 is not hackable which limits the possibilies...whilst none of my i8910 firmware updates were unhackable....
Most nseries app work on i8910HD....just a few such as skyforce reloaded, ngage and some others dont work!...Ovi store, ovi chat, ovi mail and ovi maps all work fine!
the n86 gets very after adding a few apps...the accelerometer is way too sensitive...but a plus is that it works in every part of the phone unlike i8910HD it only works in some parts of the menu...
battery life of the n86 is way better than i8910HD...
they are both great phones...its just that when i take random photos i use n86, when i surf the web i use i8910HD, when i wants music i8910HD is my choice....Gaming n86...so they have strenghts and weaknesses

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2010Hi , I really considering having one n86 but on the other h... morethat dependz upon wt u want. If u want a excellent musik device rather dan a quite gud one go for w995. If u want an excellent stant and shoot cam rather dan a gud one go for 86. if ur into smartphones n ders n86 n inove8. 86 has amoled screne dat meanz xceptional and pleasing colors den theres da difference of colors 256k(995) and 16m(86).. 995 supports 8gb 86 supports 24gb. (thrice as muj) in smartness 86 is a powerful cell has more processing speed dan inove8.
It all dependz upon u for musik w995>86>inove8. Picture quality 86>inove8(a slight difference)>w995. Smartphone 86>inove8...
Da rest is up 2 u...

If u want features and performance, then go for N86. And if u want simple and stylist phone then go for W995. N86 has more features and is more powerful than W995. But N86 has some software isues rit now. N86 is a balanced phone. Whereas W995 is a dedicated music phone. w995's 8mp camera is not upto its mark, and its a java phone. i had the same problem before buying N86. But i chose n86 coz of its features and i'm not regreting it. i'm happy with my N86. So its upto you to decide.................

I wont suggest N86. N86 is a very heavy/bulky phone. And it has its own peculiarities. First of all the Voice command support. It does not have all the Voices available with other Nokia Phones (Just a mecahnical male in my location). The stand-by menu is missing WLAN status and can be only displayed if you use Vertical menu. If active themes are stalling during screen flipping between Horizontal / Vertical modes by position sensor so you'd better keep active themes shut down all the time. I believe this phone was just released by Nokia as a response to some other vendors having 8Mp cameras but this is it. It is not a well designed phone and software upgrades won't fix them.

I'm using firmware v21 and a friend is still using v10. All our setting are the same.
His N86 v10 is brighter (ie, white is more white) and the same goes for taken pictures.
Is this indeed a (known) firmware issue (difference between versions) or could this be a hardware issue?
Thankssssss!
