If theres is lik a difference of few kbs its f9! Otha wize there cud b sumfin wrong with your software the processing mit not b right. i dont blv its a sensor or lense issue. Although it is possible as well! Bt the best option will b to compare!
Another thing does ur cell in bright light miss any details? Lik are any details missing when u zoom it up to 100% if the picture is blur try cleaning the lense if the pix noisy then ur processing or sensor could have an issue... Bt compare it with another!

              Hi Al,

I am Alixer from India. I have read so much about N86 and found that it is nice phone. However, camera is just ok. My pictures are not going beyond that 1.5 or 1.6 MB. I asked some about firmware. What is this and How can I download and upload in my fone? Can anyone help me?

josh, 04 Jan 2010oh I get you, you mean how you hold the camera phone:)yes that n how do you contrl ur exposure settings... Light angles and exposures are key to gud photography! Exposures in simple words mean the control to da ammount of light entering the the lense n da ammount of time for which the sensor is xposed to light! Da simple rule is da more the xposure the more light and for longer period! Da less it is da less da light for shorter period!
So play wid ur cam settingz n keep on xploring!
Light is the key! It can make an average cam look gr8! N an excellent cam look bad!!!

josh, 04 Jan 2010and how do you ajust the camera angle???its a very tough question to xplain. i mean to say when u r outdoors in a sunny day, then the lens of N86 are not dat gud at atjusting the light. i mean to say we should hold the phone in such a way that maximum light enters and the lens is not reflected by the sun rays. the lens of N86 are subject to lens flare.
