according to this AAS podcast, a new firmware version for the N86 will be released before the year ends. another firmware version will be released sometime next year. the guest acknowledges the faults and bugs of the current v20 firmware and tells that the N86 development team is currently fixing all bugs and adding new features for this multimedia computer. i hope this comes as planned because this is sure to be a great christmas present for every N86 owner.

i have look at the design of the n 87 and the end and call botton r to close i dont like it at all i hope nokia is not going to release some thing like that and i hope i will not be to heavy but any how go nokia

MO, 13 Dec 2009hi there I'm a big SE and a current SE user, but i have... moreAlot of you dont relise that xenon flash is the smallest part of a camera and it is only there to despert quick light, its way better to reli on the natural light wich nokia are doing cause I find that the strong light from the xenon flash makes the subject look fake and unatural, I prefer the 3rd generation dual leds they are not to bright or underbright just right! so yeah nokia have done well, its all about the sencitivity of the sensor not the flash (wouldnt you rather you photos have more field and depth?)

nokia will fix this dont worry!

this is true story.i buy a phone for my girlfriend,original waranty by avaxx.one day we got into fight and she go out form my house.at the same time it was raining.when she comeback the phone already dead.i take out the battery and try using tissue to cclean the water.even between the slide and inside the battery also got water.i left it to dry it a day.then after that i on it back and charge it.it alive back.im very happy.but the waranty already avoid.so after this i can't send it if the phone got prob...

guys r u fooling urselves ! n86 under v20 takes the worset night fotos ever full of noises and extremly soft ... nokia itself claimed that there is an error on v20 and gonna fix it later in comin firmwares
so talk frankely to other seeking advice ...
n86 on v20 really suffer from high noise at night pics with terrible violet and blue tint all over the black color

i had 6620 6680 6682 e62 n80 n95 i know how to use symbian.↲so my n86 real player cant connect . Real player wont ask to connect to network with or without sim . My n95 was able to play on the web player even real player streaming dint work much so youtube app dont work web player is unavailable and real player dose not ask to connect with my rogers n86

hi i bought n86 3 days back.. i have a question from tht ppk using this set.. i talk on 2g about 1:30 hrs. i use wifi around 40 mins and click 10-15 pics a day. i dont listen to music and i dont use any other thing.. my battery lasts for say 24 hrs. (after a full charge). i thinks its weak..pls tell me how much u ppl use and wht intervals u charge ur battery.. pls reply here or mail me at faraaz_110@yahoo.co.in. thanx

hi n86 rogers cant connect to youtube . It connects only on 3g he you change the settings of real player for wi fi exemple cant watch youtube no web player appears and real player cant connect

Great news!! But... It is still new, not for s60V5 yet... :(
someone has got the S60V3 'half-working' on their 5800, but if you want to turn your mobile into a ***lump of plastic*** It is up to you !!! :D

I dont see divx in the specs... NOTE MP4 is NOT divx!!
( the grouping is different from what is specified in the MPEG-4 standard..) Whatever, MP4 will play in my 5800, but not divx...
If you want divx, you need to choose either a 'proper linux' phone like N900 or a WinMobile phone - others phones I see have divx builtin, but dont have an OS, so nothing else can be added (like when a divx is upgraded or beaten..)

MO, 13 Dec 2009hi there I'm a big SE and a current SE user, but i have... moreHi there i've had my N86 for a week now an i've got to say it really is a great phone, mine has the latest firmware which is 20.115, hasn'st had no software issues at all yet, the performance is magnificent with no lags, the Amoled screen is amazing apart from in direct sunlight where readability is very poor but in all other conditions is excellent, 8mp carmera takes magnifincent photos in any condition, sound through the earphones when playing music is very good, but playing through the stereo speakers could have been a touch louder but its only a minor issue.

I'm a big SE and a current SE user, but i have to admit SE always finds ways to dissapoint me!! I mean no WLAN on a 5mp phone, xenon flash? Why? and second, i hate the fact that SE doesnt support alot of media formats and has no downloadable applications for media support. Forget the media go i mean applications dowloaded straight to the device. To be honest SE only trumps nokia in the Camera department and interface which is alot more live compared to a dull nokia interface. My issue was to find a phoe with a decent or great camera, that supports Divx and has a video ringtone, meaning a video appears when someone calls. It seems N86 combines all of these but the software issues are scary. i like to keep my phoes around for a long time, 2-3 yeas if possible, so i really need a relaiable phone that can take a beating and last for a while..Is the N86 such a phone??? based on you guys opinions i'll buy the phone so please no NOKIA VS SE B#LL!
