After looking for my upgrade fone i choose N86.I am coming from N95 8gb so a lot to live up to,i am chuft to bits with my choice and luvin it..Had 14 days to return it,,,no chance!!

n86 user, 16 Oct 2009the rate of this fone is like that coz some pipx tought tha... moreThey are theoretical speeds only nobody gets anywhere near that ,even if you have fone with a hsdpa download speed of 1.8Mb/s you will unlikely get that either..

Josh have you tried the ovi store theres free apps and demo apps just download on fone itself but beware of data costs???? i have unlimited plan so all is fine..

remember just cause it says xenon flash on the box dose not mean it will perform that well,
because the tube compacitors are so small for a mobile that they can not deliver (I dont care what anyone says)

I bought this N86 problem from Greece. It's just a buggy sh!t. It keeps searching for a way to connect to internet (Wlan, GPRS whatever) really annoying, after i unplug it from the charger it keeps "charging" for ever, looses connection with the SD card and many more! I took it to Nokia for 3 times they upgraded it they format it etc and it's all the same sh!t. Now the told me they'll send it in Czech Nokia to check it. I don't think the;re going to repair it!
The technician at nokia kept telling me that i shouldn't use third party apps or themes or whatever...good he didn't advise me to leave it home not get H1N1

the rate of this fone is like that coz some pipx tought that this is n85 w/ a 8mp in the first... but no.. this is n86 is far way better than n85...am a SE user before..then shift to nokia because of this n86... but yeah. still the loudspkear of this phone acceptable.. compared to my cuz w995.. but same i can use other speaker... coz loud speaker is used indoors not i a large place... xD but yeah.. n86 is a really good phone compared to other smartphone... w995 is faster coz its not smartphone.. but for me n86 is better :D
3G is just 3.6 mbps.. compared to w995 7.2mbps
but am here at philippines so i really don't need 7.2mbps hahaha about the battery.. theres are some application i can use to boost my battery back up.. and yeah its a oled man... just loving my n86...

Request for full detail of my opinion >>Just like to share this..when I got the new phone N86 8MP,i can play mp4 videos, I updated the firmware from 10 to 11 then 20. Then I can't play the pre-installed videos anymore. Even the music folder went to a regular folder. So what i did, back things up, and reformat the phone-like restoring the factory settings. Surprisingly, the music icon is back-even the videos(mp4,3gp ETC) are playing as well-faster compared to before doing it, and hooking it up using the cable for TV-cause it was a little bit slow and looks like a busted video player. Now it works fine!
1) I back up my files(Well technically I did not..that why I lost all my ngage games, besides i don't have so much files except on the 8GB itself-have my music, themes and stuff.
2) I use the *#7370# almost like a reformat of the whole system.(Just like it it came out from the box)
3) Need to restart my computer to have installers and stuff to connect with the PC suite. hook up my phone.
4)I transfered all my mp4 videos to my phone, that's where i started to notice the music folder icon is back, i check the firmware it's still v20. but the videos are now playing fine, though.
5) What's missing are my games, good thing i didn't activated my activation code yet for one full game.
6) Videos working fine now. music files still intact, themes are installed on the 8GB storage, and reinstalled ngage applications.
