ueopmn, 03 Oct 2009does your n86 music icon changed into a nirmal folder when ... moreyes mine did. And did notice that when your theme effects and the accelerator sensor is on, when turning the phone's orientation from portrait to landscape and vice versa, the effect is not there but rather the phone is like going to hang. Do you have the same problem?

so i upgraded to v20 yesterday and what i can say from my 12 hour experience (went out clubbin) is -nice-,though keep away from night mode while taking videos, doesn help in any way, unless u like hazed visuals, auto mode handles night/club scenes much better.I dunno, but they really fiddled and messed theme effects with this update,i jus put it off coz u sumhow think the phone is jus about to crash, they seeerrriiiioooouuussslllyyyy need to fix this...and asap.all in all, cool update, phone is noticeably faster, havn really used face recgntn yet,i partly did,but what difference does it make to me as a non-photo editor if a face has jus a hint more focus than the rest.al put it off, probbly jus use it as a gimmick to wow! sum1

well, i've had the nokia for about a day now, and i do love it, all the features, the wifi works great, the camera is amazing imo, but, one thing i have to say is a real let down...is it already has a scratch on the "scratch-resistant" screen. the only pocket this thing has gone into (and im not kidding) was my soft bathrobe......granted the scratch isnt that visible but it is a almost the length of the screen, and since i know its there, it bugs me, but that i have to say is very disappointing, hopefully i can find some spare parts or soemthing to replace the "scratch-resistant" screen

aside that though, it is a great phone

I would like you to clear this up please..The n86 has a very high audio quality and it would be a shame if this was spoilt by low power output to the headfones..Thanx Brynn...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Well, it's really up to u. N86 has a Carl Zeiss branded lens with variable apperture while Innov8 is not. Innov8 produces shoot with a very high amount of details, while N86 produces shoot with a very pleasing color to eyes, high contrasted and nicely saturated image. N86 also produce better low light shoot too. It's up to u to choose between details or color reproduction. For screen, do u want Innov8's 2.8" TFT or N86's 2.6" AMOLED? TFT is superior in sunlight legibility, AMOLED is superior in the terms of color & contrast. Choose which one is suit u the most. For design, it's about personal taste. N86 white suit me well.

the firmware update is available in the phils by doing it OTA (Over The Air).. i already updated mine last night and it just took less than 5 minutes to download (the firmware was 5.2MB) and less than 15 minutes for the phone to update..

and yes, the music folder icon was changed to a normal folder.. i don't know if nokia overlooked this issue.. >_<

also, i noticed that the phone becomes sluggish if you have theme effects enabled.. but it becomes quite a speedster if it's disabled.. too bad i have to turn it off now..

face detection is cool, and also, allowing you to go closer on the focused subject in close-up mode is appreciated..

overall, the firmware update is a must.. i love my n86 even more now.. :)

n86 has to be one of the best handsets ive used, even the battery lasts a couple of days, the camera is quality as is the mp3 player, the build is good and is compact, the only gripe i have with it is my handset wont accept an mp4 file maybe this new update will fix that

firmware v20 is a bullshit right now. Just 5 minutes before I wrote this comment, I check nokia-asia and nokia europe online. And its obvious that Nokia it self declare that : The latest software is version 11.043

Conclusion : no face detection up until now guys. be real
