RJ MAc, 23 Aug 2009hey people!! i,m corrently using sony ericsson C905.. i,m v... moreN86 camera is slightly better than C905's in some aspects except close range night photos...C905 shoots them better due to its powerful xenon flash...but most other issues are a little better in N86...but certainly if u want to get the best 8MP camera+camcorder phone of the market than u wouldn't want to go anywhere but Samsung i8910 Omnia HD! Rulz!

hey people!! i,m corrently using sony ericsson C905.. i,m very much interested in buying the N86 8mp.. please guide me of what i should do asap!! is N86 a better buy then the C905?
also is the camera better, same or lower in ranking then the C905?

You're the only expert you say you are something like that. Then how with all the reviews from different website and professional photographers who reviewed the n86 didn't said anything about n86 not being 8mp. Try google about it, if you find anything that says n86 is not 8mp, then you post it here.

and already authur of 4 books about architecture full of pictures. worked with nikon-canon-sony cameras.
and i know differences.
im sure that n86 photos never can be 8mp.

hey guys i just wanna ask if you are having problems with the camera lens cover? i got some minor scratches on it. i hate it. i think i got it from a dust or something

I agree, N97 is really hard to use and hangs when u fill only half of its storage. I sold it and tried n86. No regrets.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970take n86,with no shadow of a doubt. it more practical to use and it makes yhe best photos and videos in the mobile world,except only samsung omnia hd,wich is better on video. n97 is very difficult to use,pain in the as_.

i have upgrade my soft with 11.043 version. with the old soft,the initial 10.085, my n86 becames very instable: shut down at every call after 40-50 seconds of talking or even in standby. it was very bad. i hope this soft 11.043 will be better. gsmarena said this version have many improvements. i think n86 is the best imaging mobile on the market at this moment,until a concrete 12 mp offer will be on the market. and even then,don't forget that 12 mp is not essential. it must have a good open operating system :symbian,android,windows, it must be small,it must be nokia, and no touch-screen. i hate touch screens

I have this phone for ten days now and Im perfectly satisfied, camera rocks, it has enormous light sensitivity, I took many shots at night on the street and the only source of light were the streetlights, and photos turned out exceptional without using flash, which is by the way almost as strong as xenon and perfectly usable, which was not the case with N95 8GB. The build quality is excellent, quality plastic with metal, of course that makes it quite heavy, but I like it. Only if the stereo speakers had a little better sound quality it would be nice, but even like this the phone is perfect and I wouldnt trade it for any other phone.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2009does n86 hangs alot my n86 is more than 2 weeks since i bought it and it never even once hanged...processing is fast, switching in between applications is fast...and of course the camera is superb capable to capture great quality photos..

Charging cannont charge full stop at 3 bar only ask my friends they say is e mother-board problem go back to e STARHUB outlet to exhange but they told me cannot change hav to go Nokia Svc Ctr to SERVICE. Vy disappointed Brand NEW phone hva to go servicing another problem is e camera button not responsive press many times no response. do u guys hav tis problem. Read a lot review then buy e N86 now hav tis kind of problem vy sad, they ar poor on QUALITY CHECK..

but...
but camera & speakers are weak.
equalizer has no real effitioncy.
pictures & video,cant compare with even n70 pictures.
its not real 8mp. i guess its maybe 3mp.
menu & knobs are difficut to use.
hope nokia make another one with annonced featuers, but real.
