That is, will I be able to play 3D games smoothly? I like racing games very much. I don't think, there is any S60v3 game that requires integrated GPU. But still, can you tell me, what's the difference of playing a Racing 3D game on N86 and N8 (as N8 have GPU)? Anyways, thanks for that info.

Abhi, 15 Feb 2011Hey guys, I want to buy this phone, as I've liked it very m... moreAll proccessors have a basic 2d/3d gpu but its what they call integrated GPU.The type your on about is dedicated gpu or graphics chip which n86 does not have but i can tel you something.Nokias n82 had 2 proccessors with dedicated graphics chip as such.One proccessor did all the radio stuff ie bluetooth, 3g,gps.The second proccessor dealt with the o/s.The gpu or whatever you wish to call it did help with gaming if the programme called on the gpu to assisst ,,it also helped support th tv uot and helped keep the VGA 30 FPS OUTPUT.

Hey guys, I want to buy this phone, as I've liked it very much. But I want to know that, is N86 still available in Maharashtra in India. Also, I've one another question. This phone doesn't have any GPU or 3D HW Accelerator, does this have much more effect on gaming? Or there's not a lot difference?

talha, 05 Feb 2011great phone but im facing a problem that my fm transmeter i... moreIf ur fm transmitter ain't working, I'll suggest dat u should fix the back cover properly perhaps placing it correctly and if there is damage 2 the back cover I'll suggest dat u should replace it with original replacement for fm transmitter would not work if there is damage to the Back cover. With any of the above procedures u should have a working FM TRANSMITTER

This is a fantastic bit of kit,i have 2 N86.With its special lenses and smartphone capable i love it.Its been with me allover but under heavy use it lasts me 7 -9 hrs,just take 2 batterys or proporta charger.Using tweets 60 etc it does all i want even basic spreadsheets using paid for quick office.9/10.SENTfromN86 on train.

In regards to today's announcement that WP7 will now be Nokia's primary smartphone OS, ad jus like to say that the N86 will probably be the last Nokia device i will own considering from the gist of things Meego looks to become another long-term backburner like its predecessor Maemo. IMHO, Nokia develops some the most capable and best-built hardware available in the market, but with WP7 on board as the OS, sorry, i can't bring myself to buy into the whole "Let's buy into android and WP7, we really need to become a pawn of their parent company's large and burgeoning OS so they can sell and advertise and get bigger and bigger and invade every chasm of our lives" My firefox already has enough add-ons running to keep Google and the likes away...paranoid..may be, logical..more so. The whole point of different OSes is to account for varying consumer interest and whereas WP7 could assist in terms of general UI advancement (lets face it, Symbian (S^3) is two-folds more functional than WP7), the fact that all it does is cater to the US market, etching out the rest of the world means one thing....Elop was Nokia's harbinger of death...We want capable phones, with the hardware that Nokia so proclaimed to be the best without wondering where all our data is being sent off to..and sure, who's to say Nokia doesn't already route some of our info down yonder...but atleast then it's only some.

Its camera isnt good indoors at all. Dont waste your money on purchasing this phone if you want a good camera phone.

I... moreAre you sure its not the battery on its way out.I ve had an n86 and on second battery,it got to the point whee it was lasting 2 hrs.These batterys start going after 18 months and because most people charge the n86 daily it wont last as long as say the e75 which i charge every 3-4 days.
