kal, 07 Jul 2009Over at all about symbian the 1st 'car' pic, numbers and te... morethere is problem with words...but overall N86 is the best 8mgp,n still it could improved much more by a fw update.u r talkin abt noise??read the sam12 review again here clearly mentioned N86 n sam12 noise level on par!!N86 got more power in low light condition...N86 has performed more accurate thn sam12 in dynamic range(read the review of sam12) N86 got 20% extra view.u r still with wordss???whn advantages r more thn disadvantages thn disadvantages should b overlooked.N86 has introduced new mobile camera technologies with wide angle lens,variable aperture n more...who shows way he deserve reward.thats y N86 with TIPA.

That is innovation by "like.no.other" Sony, by introducing something new that deviates from established practice.
Sadly, this is somewhat difficult to discern by some who are unschooled in the art of engineering.

I bought this phone a couple days ago. The camera is very good. So far it doesn't lag but it slows down a bit, esp when opening apps like images. So far so good, but try to store your sh*t on the mem card.
Btw, anyone know any good programs to create themes for mobile phones?

The 4th pic, 'landscape', N86 pretty much washed out all the details, still they talk about the wide angle effect and how it manages to capture 'extra' landscape.
The 7th 'Meadow' pic, N86 produced greenish pic with more noise, still no mention of it. Rather they say it manages to capture more grass and sky and has got good color accuracy.
8th Echo (portrait mode) 'dog' pic. I don't know how N86 captured improved details.
8th, fast moving and low light 'steam' pic, N86 failed to differentiate water from leaves. It's greenish all over. It looks like oil paint. Still the reviewer is so amazed with N86.
If all this could be improved with one update, then my question is what did you got in the first place? How come they managed to get TIPA award with this. Thanks to GSMarea team. They are doing a good job.

Unless you guys are blind you shouldn't be saying N86 got more details or more natural color. All pics published at that site got greenish tone, still they are saying it got natural color. It's a good 8mp but nothing beats innov8 in image quality and details. In contrast GSMarea did a good job.

The picture quality ... moredear dont u see the comparison between N86 n sam12??if not read it again here 1 thing mentioned that is N86 n sam12 hv same noise level.nokia did not reduce the pixel size on the sensors (according to the carl zeiss report) so don worry....

are the reviewers blind? it;s clearly visible that n86 has better picture quality better colour contrast, and this has just been launched so surely software upgrades are comming our way. less detail they say!! i don't get it........ whats there idea of detail? your getting 20% more landscape or view and ur talking about less detail! are you mad it's already 20% more!!!!!

The picture quality of Nokia N86 is no doubt good but with less detail and more noise thats why in some cases the pictures taken by N86 look like oil painting. otherwise good phone..

Ew. Why does this phone look so old and bland, like it was made in the 80's? Looks cheap and outdated. A better design would have made it good. But this is a joke.
