anonymous, 26 Mar 2009When it comes to taking the best digital photos, it's the q... morecompare the worst 8Mp camera phone in the market and the best nokia 5MP camera...the 8MP shooter gotta be just if a little better and detailed than the 5MP it simply is and I tasted it myself....so why r u trying to compare a 8MP shooter like N86 with a 12MP monster like Idou's?? it's completely unfair and ridiculous....

When it comes to taking the best digital photos, it's the quality of the lens and the sensor that count, not just the quantity of pixels. The Nokia N86 8MP is the first mobile device with variable aperture

Ahmad, 25 Mar 2009the pics are showing N85 ??? wts this??? if you do your research, you will notice that the N85 and this handset have completely different keys under the screen.

I know cause I did my reserch you people judge on things you dont know. (technology has come a long way to create dual power leds like xenon)

Idou does not have varauable appreture, so it can not live up the nokia n86 which closes the gap between stand alone cameras, the nokia n86 is a full fleged camera with a phone stuck to it, you just have to read the specs.

i dunno why every1 here are talkiing about the camera of the phones...this is supposed to be a wall for discussing phones, isn't it? i think it's no use talking about cameras. if we just let aside the camera's and think of the phone overlly, than N86 is really nowhere nearby a surprise. it's just packed with a rly old design and features. it's really no mach as a even a phone comparing with SE Idou even if we don't give the camera's any thought. reading all these u may think I'm quite a SE fan but Im tellin u Im not. So why compare N86 with Idou? Nokia fan's come on we have a monster on the go...the N97. leave the N97's 5MP and 12MP of Idou and compare the phones. N97 is way better than Idou in many sides. but still i must say Idou is a quite charming phone. so if u want a All IN oNe mobile than get N97 and if want a pretty good and pocketable 12MP camera mobile with quite some handy features in ur palm than go for Idou....

anonymous, 24 Mar 2009N86 is still under development and idou too.so staying unde... moreBut you are not fair if you compare idou with N86 at the moment coz as you see there is no 12MP EXMOR sensor on idou prototype even there is no cybershoot or EXMOR logo on idou cover also the prototype lens is not 28mm wide angel so it is not real idou camera quality, there are 8 months left for developing idou..too early we make a complain about idou camera quality...EXMOR sensor it self will be shipped starting this month and the lens it self will be shipped in september so that is why SE didnt allow us to use idou camera at MWC and that is why there is no picture sample of idou camera in official SE site but iam suprised that why did gsmarena take picture samples from idou prototype?
the picture samples cant be used as real idou camera quality refference coz the prototype has diffe CMOS and lens.idou will use IMX060PQ EXMOR sensor and IU060F lens like official SONY announcement.
you and gsmarena are not fair, gsmarena just took the pictures from Fony.sk site not from official sony ericsson site.
i think you can be happy with your N86 camera quality but we still wait the real idou camera picture quality till september but we have already seen 8MP EXMOR CMOS sensor picture quality on SE S001, those picture sample are great.
