John, 24 Feb 2009I do not understand you guys. If you looking for good phon... morewhy i wan to get a SONY cybershot??
if i wanted to buy a camera i will not buy Digital CAMERA
but DIGITAL SLR camera
NIKON and CANON , other all useless
now NOKIA make the aperture can change between F/2.8 F/3.2 F/4.8
do you see any other 8MP / 12MP worldwide camera phone can do like that??
not even that, N86 got a wide lens
the size of the aperture controlling the amount of the light entering the image sensor/FILM
compare to other camera phone which it aperture is FIXED at F/2.8, N86 can produce a sharper image

This phone is heavy and ugly like N85. Is even more heavy than N85. Right now have N82 and N79 which I am happy with and sold my N85 already.
How come on the gsmarena Pictures the white version does not say N86 but it say N85???? N86 is basicly same as N85. I had bad Expreiance with N85 and N86 is nothing more than or better than N85. Just wait for N97.

N86 8MP can change the size of aperture at F/2.8, F/3.2, F/4.8
compare to other phone which it APERTURE IS FIXED at F/2.8
object in bright light :
the size of the aperture is decreased
object in dim light
the size of the aperture is increased
N86 can use different size of aperture
object in bright light :
the size of the aperture : F4.8
object in dim light
the size of the aperture : F2.8

Nokia calls it now N86 instead of N85 8Mp because having nothing else to show they pretend it is a new phone. What a joke !!

Not to be complaining, but did noone notice that the headline says N86 8MP, but in all the pictures of the phone in the upper right side it says N85 8MP...

All features are great but how about the Loud Speackers plz any one tell me is the speakers are really loud ?

I'm not much of a photographer, but is there really that much difference between say a 3.2 megapixel and a 5 megapixel lens?
Because I still think my old Sonyericsson K810i which has a 3.2 megapixel lens shoots decent enough photos....

How is this a downgrade, it gets more memory, lot better camera and flash, lots better buttons and build quality, more powerful processor, not a finger print mag. and looks better.... WAKE UP YOU TW!T!
ps, interesting to see the ugly comments die of since actual pics have been released, the nokia photos look blueish but real life is a dark grey. LOOKS GREAT!!
