As N95 8GB is an upgrade of the standard N95, so is N86 8MP the upgrade of N85.
N95 8GB upgrades the standard N95 by throwing in a larger screen, doubling the RAM, incorporating an 8GB flash memory, and increasing the battery life.
N86 8MP on the otherhand upgrades the N85 by putting a better camera, as well as an 8GB built in flash memory, faster processor and tweaking slightly the menu interface.

ULALA, 23 Feb 2009hey iolo003... that's a good joke man! LOL! nokia is still ... moreyou laugh at that and its not even a joke c", geez you got a short notion for laughter, i now know why your not a Nokia supporter, you easily get excited with competitors throwing away small stuff on their phone like 12MP, XD etc and yet you missed the grand picture. nokia leads in every aspect in the mobile world booth hardware, software, services and support. thats the grand picture my friend and that makes me happy with Nokia
im not easily please with just hardware alone, it should be everything ;)

Can somebody check sea-breezes sweeping statements. Nokia did not have the best resolution for small screens. Three years ago Sharp had the 904 which has a VGA screen. It makes a big difference when one is perusing tables, graphs and charts. A VGA 2.4 inch screen is far better than a QVGA one. Furthermore the resolution of the screen will now fit the res of video recording ie VGA;30fps.
Those in the industry will have to check your claim that all 8 and 12MP phones still use 2MP sensors.
Samsung Omnia HD is reported to record high definition video; 720p;24fps. In theory, the result should be alot sharper than VGA video. This is not a slow motion feature. Video will show at correct life-like speeds. Nevertheless the Samsung is capable of playing slow motion.
Everyone should double check Sea Breezes claims to ascertain whether there is a breeze on the sea or in fact a sea on the breeze!

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2009This phone as nothing special for me to change my black N82... moreI have never seen a phone as ugly as N82. I never had an interest in buying that phone. And thankfully, N86 doesn't have an overhyped xenon flash as N82 does. Because for dumb people, the xenon flash matters more than the camera itself! Lol!

This phone as nothing special for me to change my black N82 with xenon for this ugly design phone! It has 2.6 inch screen, but i would like touchscreen, 3 inches at least, with better video recording specs! So i will not waste 550USD to buy this phone, but save money for something NEW WITH INNOVATION: Samsung Omnia HD!!!

I am a person that has commented rarely on GSMARENA, but till the price was announced I was a strong supporter of this mobile. I have no idea what are NOKIA's plans but whatever these are, they really need a better product, and with XENON flash this time if they are to impress people, especially their LOYAL fans.

Hi all..
Lets stop the arguing and talk facts..
the price is HIGH ..yes
Display resolution is perfect for its size 2.6" higher resolution is useless unless the screen size more than 3"
Remember all the N80 announced from 4 years ago got the resolution other companies makin now !! so nokia got the tech. before others but useless to increase display resolution in small sized screens ..thats very obvious and we all agree i think ...
Other spec. are fine wifi gps music ...
Talkin about music yes Sonyericsson makes better speakers higher and louder and clearer but nokia's sound through the headfones are much way better thats the truth dont argue please !!
NOW the Great Concern .. the Camera ..
Now as all photographers knows that Higher Megapixels Don't Mean Higher Quality .. Higher Megapixels means ONLY bigger Print SIZE okay .. thats a fact to all ...
JUST wants you all to know that the world awards photograhers shoot in 2 megapixels !!!
Now whats effect the Picture Quality the camera sensor the camera aperature the camera focal width and the added lens as the Carl Zeiuss lens
All 8mp and 12 mp on the market now uses the same 2mp sensor of the old mobile fones ! and width and aperature ! with no added lens sorry se fans sorry samsung fans but thats a fact and thats the truth so don't argue and shout and return to ur spec. !
Video recording ! VGA- recording is the DVD recording is the recording of Hollywood Movies till now which is 640x480 @30fps thats also a FACT !! dont scream and argue !!! sayin SamSung records at 1024x768@ 129fps thats nonsense the HIGER resolution at higher frame rate MEANS SLOW MOTION CAPTURE !
So VGA recording @30fps which is used now in many companies is the best ...
we all agree now .. talking specially about the main comparison between shooters the N86 vs N82
Both Got added lens the CarlZeiuss lens N86 changing aperature between 2.8/4.6 BUT N82 between 2.8/5.6 which means better capture at low light portofolio
the N86 cant print larger sure due to its 8mp count also N82 print is large 5mp is not low as well
The width dynamic range of the N86 is lower than the N82 ---> fact watch the spec.
The Flash:
Nokia says Nonsense they say their 3rd generation dual led is stronger and consumes less power ! Totally nonsense The LED lamp is a lamp while Xenon is a GAS .. Power of the LEDs will never be stronger than Xenon ! if its stronger then why not put in real digicam ?????????????
Sure the Xenon gives wider range with the same lighting effeciency the LEDs never light wide ranges with same effeciency that a Physics Fact ok Dont shout people again :))))
Another thing the Speed of capture.. in xenon the light is emmited extremly fast and strong much faster than LEDs what does it means?? it means Faster capture Faster shutter Less shaking Less hazzieness Less shaked fotos Means Lower iso-level so ------>>> BETTER QUALITY PICS .. so nokia talk as u want we r here talking reality and facts !!!
Again in macro shots using LEDS will give Overexposured pics i mean a whitened washed pics with no detail at all ..if u dont belive try it try to catsh macro fotos when flash is on ?!!!
BUT in Xenon the Sensor adapts it self to the distance ! and u NEVER GET overexposed or WHITENED pics and agian dont shout ..JUST try to belive
So the main disadvantages of the N86 is its announced too late no xenon same design same user interface (no real upgrade) and ofcourse Higher Price
thats all and Good Luck :)))))))))))))
