Anonymous, 25 Nov 2011I think they (store personnel) don't have to be "geeks... moreThe Nokia dealer where I bought my N9 from knows all that- Meego, swipe, unibody, etc. But they are authorised dealer/priority shop, supposed to know all that. The salesman even taught how to use the front camera with simple mirror app, lol.
Regular handphone shop might not know, they only know N9 is Nokia's new model.

N900 has real qwerty keyboard but N9 only virtual qwerty keyboard.
I prefer use N900 as my primery mobile phone plus micro computer and N8 as my 2nd mobile phone plus as camera and mp3 player, that all.

                  Cheers.

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2011Hi Sosyalisth! How's the battery life of n9 in your expe... moreHey Anonymous :D

I really can't give you an accurate review about the battery life of the N9, since it's my first touchscreen smartphone ever, hehe. But for comparison's sake, N9's battery span (or should I say all touchscreen smartphones in general) have considerably shorter life.

As for my case, I've been activating the "Power-saver mode" since I bought it last 17 November in an attempt to further lengthen battery life. And with my 8 days with the N9, I could say that after 2.5 hours of charging (via electric socket); and with considerably "moderate" usage (around 30 minutes each for gaming, internet, facebook; around 4 hours of calling and texting collectively; 30 minutes music), the battery manages to withstand a good 8 to 10 hours of uninterrupted service.

                              Hope this helps :D

just update the new software PR1.1 took about 45mins via wifi and had no problem, about time nokia sent update to Australia.

Now only if Nokia could update OVI/Nokia Suite to work with Nokia's so call flagship phone the N9 then this phone can be called a smartphone.

some people like to do all there updates, music transfers and contacts with their computer so how about fixing OVI/Nokia Suite.

How about in the next software update PR1.2 a FM/DAB+ Radio.
People on public transport can't listen to Internet radio it cost to much and downloads costs you bigtime in Australia eg Telstra over price so call data downloads.

The Nokia N9 is a great phone but Nokia need to support their customers downunder
