Anonymous, 22 Nov 2011Actually, N9 is now available. Go to the Nokia Store at Glo... moreonly 33k for the 64GB, wow, good. So the high peso exchange rate is starting to bear fruits. But not so good for us who get their money from abraod eheh. Still, i might buy an N9 when i am in d Phil again then, cant get it that cheap anywhere else.

Just got my n9 few days back. the phone is fast, but as i am using i phone 4 also, to me it looks like a variant of i phone 4. the cut copy paste function, the shape, the micro sim, the speaker position (below the set), the visibility in the day light, the typing, even when i hold it within my palm. i dont know exactly but every thing seems familiar with my i phone. except the home button and the smooth touch of i phone. oh the wifi is faster in nokia.

Guys... been wit my N9 for more than a week...
sadly i still dint get micro sim card (dint get the time to go and get one)....
so witout phone calls and 3g....the battery lasted 5days easily..tat included normal use of WiFi, music youtube, fb,gaming, etc....
gaming more bought the charge down to 3 and half days...mine came loaded with Real football instead of Golf...and i jus cant stop playin it
50%brightness (perfect for my eyes), power saver on when 20% battery left.
mono speaker volume is not gr8....
and it did freeze on 2 or 3 times which required me to restart the phone( press and hold power button for few secs)

Sosyalisth, 22 Nov 2011Hi Bud! I actually own an N9 which I bought last 16 Novembe... moreTry install Nokia Software Updater on your PC(windows only). Then connect your N9 to the PC in sync & connect mode, let the software check. Updating through NSU comes first before OTA.
So far, Europe, Aust, Msia, Spore, i.e the countries when it was 1st released have gotten the update. N9 just released in Philipines in Nov right? Then you have to wait
If you want to save battery life, change the schedule in which it sync for email, social network updates to 4 hours (mine is). Default I think is sync online every 20 min. I dunno abt Philipines, but Msia 3G data rates rather expensive.

My Australian n9 received the ota update and it went very smoothly! I didn't lose any of my data or apps - everything was still intact! Very pleased as i heard some people had to reinstall non core apps.
phone seems faster, swype makes typing much easier. Only problem i'm seeing is that the app 'swipe manager' isn't working... No matter how i try to swipe away from an app, it takes me to the multitask view... Other than that, very happy! Music controls on the standby screen is great too!

I'm just sort of astonished that the battery life doesn't last as long. N9 is my first touchscreen smartphone and I'm not familiar how the battery life fares with the other touchscreen smartphones in general. I'm currently using the power-saving mode obviously to prolong my battery life.
By the way, would you know if the PR1.1 update is already available here in the Philippines? Because whenever I check for software updates (in the Manage Applications option), it would always say that the "Device is up-to-date". Thanks!
