AnonD-4340, 21 Oct 2011Disaster! Showstopper! http://shootspeak.com/2011/10/08/... moreThe pink tint has been explained by Konttori (Nokia dev) as being intentional. It is called over-saturation which actually makes the colors more visible during bright sunny outdoor situations. This max brightness was never really intended for indoor use and hence this maximum brightness is not even accessible manually via the brightness bar. So this isn’t actually an issue. Also, apparently the colors have been adjusted in PR1.1 to make it more consistent at all brightness levels except the maximum. P.S. Even the Highest brightness which is accessible manually via the brightness bar is as bright or brighter than SGS2's maximum.

sgUser, 21 Oct 2011Hey could you elaborate more on ovi suites? wat happened? ... moreas I found out by installing Ovi Suite that the Nokia N9 is "Not Supported" after posting my comment was told to install Nokia Links from http://europe.nokia.com/suppor...and-download
then only to find out this doesn't support Windows XP only works with windows 7 and Mac OS.
So will have to wait till Ovi suite updates it support for Nokia N9 thats if Nokia gets it's act together ? LOL

                              Non user replaceable battery?

man, im done here. If i have enough budget, I would rather buy iphone which also has non user replaceable battery. It has more freaking apps and things.

If i don't i will go stragit to SG2 and save some bucks.

                                    Disaster! Showstopper!

                                    http://shootspeak.com/2011/10/08/screen-brightness-comparison-nokia-n9-vs-samsung-galaxy-s2

We all knew that SGS and SGS2 has bad displays, coz of the strong blue tint, i consider that a defect. But N9 has a pink tint! Especially at full brightness. Now i know we dont need to use full brightness on this fone unless we are outdoors in very strong daylight, but this is to much of a defect.

SLCD on sony ericsson and HTC are really the better displays, AMOLED is so immature, need many years before its acceptable color reproduction, both Nokia and samsung has yet to launch a AMOLED fone with good color reproduction. All are defective! But maybe i get a N9 anyway, if the pink tint is invisible on medium and low brightnes settings.

Edit: Comment from the author, "Yes, you can still get it up to the point where it’s similar to the SGS2 [brightness] without the pink tinge. But not brighter without it unfortunately. N9 requires a more granular brightness control" than now that’s for sure."

Windstorm, 21 Oct 2011Nokia !!! get permission from your Master MICROSOFT to prod... moreoh really? Its ANDROID who need Microsofts permission. Or did u miss the fact that HTC pay around $20 to microsoft for each android unit sold? And that Samsung also pays, presumably less than HTC but still they pay for each Android unit they sell. MeeGo is true opensource and has no royalties to anyone. Its the real deal.

I believe it when i see it, im pretty sure that Android will NEVER have multitasking or user control over running apps.
