The intuitive Swipe UI and turn anything into an app, professional yet funky design puts it in a different league..keep the trust going guys...Nokia has been dominating the market for straight 7 plus years...this is just a Saturn phase for them..

AnonD-23045, 09 Oct 2011So anybody who has already bought and started using N9, ple... moreI was shopping for a phone this weekend. My first choice was BB 9860' then SE Arc S and then came LG Optimus 3d. nokia was not evening my list although I have been only using Nokia for last 9yrs. When I accidentally entered Nokia centre in Midvalley on Saturday 8pm, I met with Ms.N9. I instantly fell in love with her looks, elegance, tolerance and characteristics. It was simply mind-blowing user experience. Nokia sales girl didn't even know what to explain and where to start since she herself had a sanding galaxy s2 and the sales manager owner an iPhone perhaps.. Their only usp was 64gb memory..I saw they only had one last black 64gb left and instantly placed the order.. Samsung and Apply must learn from Nokia what continuous innovation means. Innovating ones is just
not good enough. For all those people out there developing meego, don't give up...It's one open source os which is not stereeotypic like android or BB os or IPhone os..

N8 is still the swiss army knife of smart phones. It has all the features that the N9 has but the N9 don't have all the features that the N8 has.

      The N9:
      no video calls
      no smart dialler
      no t9 text input
      no camera button
      no radio
      no fm transmitter
no hdmi output (even though i don't use it)
      no swype
      no Whatsapp
      no themes
      no message reader
      no flash lite 4.0

      N8>N9

i'm not a fan of iphone, android or nokia but have owned a n900 for 2 years and was gutted when Nokia knocked Maemo on the head. the n900 is obviously low in specs now but I wouldn't swap it for any Android or Iphone, those operating systems are too lame (and i'm fully famliar with both of them).

Not so long ago my n900 broke and nokia replaced it with an e7. i loved the design but did not enjoy using symbian anna. It's about time i upgraded and the N9 is the obvious choice (Maemo's successor). i purchased one and it's on it's way.

There was no other phone i could possibly go for after owning a N900. Iphone fans can carry on believing that Apple is the only company that can innovate phones. Android fans can carry on believing that the best phone is the one with the highest specs and biggest screen. In reality it's about whether the phone fits your needs out of the box. On my n900 i installed about 10 useful apps and the phone did absolutely everything i needed for 2 years and it did it better than anything else.

I hope this will have a good battery. With a processor like that, it may be a power hog.

AndroGarcia, 09 Oct 2011Well,its performance 8MP cam, single core 1Ghz and yada yada... moreso many times its been explained here regarding the processor power....and still u go on about it
Meego doesn't require a dual core processor to run smoothly....even the current android doesn require, ..saying this because i did get my hands on N9....tested it...runs absolutely fast...no lag...you need to test it before you can blame it....
8Mp cam in Nokia is way better than 8mp on other devices(exc 4s...still not in market)
regarding built quality... Nokia phones are well known for their built quality no matter which material they use(metal or plastic)....something that Samsung really fails...
You should atleast test the product before you can write it off saying it doesn't have dual core and blah blah blah....

Now that ain't you normally see like ***cough*samsung*cough***, so who's the blind now huh?
