Giants like Samsung and iPhone? Don't be silly :) Nokia made the first mobile telephone with multitasking...
iPhone is a good phone as well and it's a giant on the market, yes, but Samsung is such a crap... it looks a like a cheap chinese copie of iPhone.
I am waiting to get the N9 too, but i don't get, why the phone doesn't comes with a dual-core CPU...
And about MeeGo... it will take time till we have a lot of apps for this OS, but I will fully support it.

Polar Mobile will be launching apps on Nokia smartphones for over 300 top tier media brands globally, including the likes of Wired UK, Kompas, Advertising Age, Globe and Mail, Shanghai Daily and 7DAYS. The apps will be made available to consumers of Nokia’s Symbian smartphones, the recently announced Nokia N9 and future Nokia with Windows Phone devices.

This is the most attractive phone of all. I'm going to buy one for each member of the family when it's available.
My iphone 4 is really not such a good phone to use, admit good quality of material is used. Resale value very good.
My BB, other than e-mail function, call quality & battery life, the rest sucks - BB phones are rip offs, especially you are forced to use their expensive plan; without any choice!

Wait to see what Nokia will introduce in London today. It might be the introduction of Nokia windows phone army, or something better than nokia n9 :(

kartoonz, 16 Aug 2011I am an avid nokia hater...However, this phone is a beauty ... morenokia n9 does support avi and divx... and it can support all android apps (using davlik emulator)
so guys stop searching and get some money to buy this phone!!!

this is a big phone, because u can have have acess to linux console witch you can overclock or have a dual boot (android) so this makes this a superb phone

I would like to see Nokia to Include FM Radio and FM transmitter with N9 Specification. I have Nokia N79 and I use FM transmitter when ever i go out in the car so that i can play my Play List Songs on the Car stereo FM Receiver.

I own N900 and it sucks a lot... Countless bugs and errors, GPS does nothing, and still Nokia doesn't seem to care about Maemo (former MeeGo) at all...
Hope this doesn't occur again in N9

Who says N9 has to compete? At this rate there's no competition as Elop is trying to kill this device by choosing not to promote it. It's actually doing pretty good promoting itself for a phone tagged "DOA"! I'm still going to buy it, apps be damned!

i guesss nokia wouldnt do much by this phone..
as it has new OS.. applications will be rare and surely have bug and errors...
plus... 1 ghz processor, amoled screen, 400 x 854 resolution is a norm for any high-end phone today...
so only new is the OS... sry nokia but u r failing.. i hope u wouldnt adopt windows 7 phone either..it will be a total disaster for u..
