N9 has Ovi store. there you can get thousand sof apps. i am not worried about the apps, coz nokia already gave 300 free N950 to developers to develop the apps. what does that mean to you? why wud nokia give free dev phones when you claim they will not support N9 and other meego devices. ............................... Adobe flash support in firefox for meego,

AnonD-16863, 07 Aug 2011who need dual cores????? so you guys want to work on penti... moreIn similar light, who needs core i3,i5 and i7 when we have a 60000 core cpu in china? why doesn't everybody just get one?

The dual core revolution is mainly driven by the gullibility of the customers. Its all a marketting stunt. The galaxy s is no doubt more powerful than say the xperia arc but whats the use? Why would a rational human being want to play a 1080p (1920×1080) on a wvga(800x480) display?

Nokia, traditionally have always been more about optimization than specs. Infact, thats what symbian for example is all about. It was designed to run on very low resources. Comparing hardware across platforms is plain stupid.

compare something which has comparison... there is no comparison of android or iphone with meego/maemo... maemo is the best os till now in market.. no hang prob, low ram usage so high speed... easy to use.. smooth... high development as so many ppl like to develop apps for this... this is the killer phone.. luv **N900**.. eagerly w8ing for this phone..

N9 OS is simply awsome, the way a smartphone should be. Few of the smartphones differe from common UI standards. N9 and even N900 have excellent and simple UI just like any using web application on a computer; other phones have many buttons and buttons on the screen for 'back', ,'menu', and that home pit on their UI.
I ageee with few other opinions on that processor would be great if is 1.2gz but effectively 1.0gz is quite good to giver all round performance and battery life.64gb internal memory is superb with excellent performance.N9 body is very expensive polycorbonate, not mere plasic as wronly said by few.

Rabby, 05 Aug 2011A lot of people are wondering why Nokia didn't choose to go... moreNokia should have just release at least one model with android. Is it that hard to come out with one model that supports Android? Even a small hand phone players nowadays can come out with some android models. Just to see how the sales perform and of course to capture some market share. Why Nokia must choose to only support one OS? What wrong to have few OSes supported for Nokia phone now? WP7 and Android at the same time. Total ignorance of Nokia to android i believe is somewhat emotional. HTC, Samsung and Sony just follow the tides. They have windows phones model, symbian and etc. Because they all know what matters most is market share. By the time all these mobile phone makers dominate most to of the market and the feeling of people towards Nokia permeated are - lousy back dated phone, no apps, low spec hardware, overprice and etc. Even with Nokia pairing up windows with excellent R&D phone would not be any beneficial anymore because nokia has became oblivious to people. People would not buy something most people don't (herd mentality) and developers attitude towards it is that I don't develop application/games for niche and small market. Without market share, no bargain power, no apps, no games, no purchase. Heck, even wP7 might withdraw itself from Nokia when Nokia can't promise market share. Vicious cycle.

this phone is just too awesome to ignore even without software support.i think i will get it even if nokia decides they will not release updates or invest in app development.

i think if this phone gets sold out like hell after it is available, nokia is crazy if they dont wanna support it and make it a money farm.

p/s: which is why steve jobs is a genius. make 1 phone, make it awesome, give it a lot of missing features, release new versions with a few added features every few months so that customers keep buying.
