Hey fellas, don't worry of Elop saying they will not support N9. He just want people now to focus on their WP7 and don't want that N9 get more popularity(that is happening now). Learn to think critically Fellas. Professional Skepticism.

Isn't that douple tap unlocking bad idea, because phone can unlock in your pocket easier than it would if you need to press a key to unlock?

the meego operating system is good and efficient operating system. It is developed by nokia , intel and some other company jointly. Specially intel create meego operating system for using this os in its atom processor of note book since microsoft given no opportunity to use its w7 on the intel atom processor. For that this meego is developed to use in notebook. Intel downcoad this os to use meego in nokia phone. Asus and some other company also declare to made notebook using meego . Besides meego operating system also used in car information system and connected tv. I think meego os is a perfect competator of the android os. So nokia fan cheers :D

The error in your reasoning is that in the desktop case, the OS was the same. Here, the OS's are different. Remember when Windows needed state of the art chips and Mac OS and Linux were much quicker on slower chipsets? Of course we like the progress of technology, but I would rather have quick performance on a lower chip than stuttery messes on dual or quad core Android devices.

This is so similar. N9 with Swipe UI looks so much smoother than my sisters Galaxy S 2. And it only has 1 core versus 2.

It is not just plain specs, it is how they are used. Android will always be at an disadvantage there because of the VM it uses versus real native code in MeeGo, iOS or WP7. All of the latter run smoother than even the newest Android. It is just poor technology.

So, yes to tech progress, no to stupid software :)

                                      N9 FTW!
