[deleted post]Misinterpreted? I doubt it, but just to humor myself let's just say I am.
Still, it would be very foolish if one were to say that Nokia phones are not reliable. I know this from my own experience where my N70 was dropped 11 times and it's still working until today.
You said I misinterpreted, but the fact that you're indirectly saying Nokia's phones are unreliable still shows your ignorance.

abhilash, 09 Jul 2011it is an awesome phone.. guys don't compare phones with oth... moreWhy wouldn't you compare phones with other phones? A consumer would want what is best for them and without comparison, everyone might not be buying a phone suitable for their needs. Just because you like this phone doesn't mean others can't compare the specs with other leading brand devices. The Nokia N9 has nice specs but of course they are no 'the best'but it's no point shutting people out by saying 'don't compare this phone with others' (I'm paraphrasing there).

AnonD-13347, 09 Jul 2011yeah i dont realy like dat exception of external memory car... moreIt does have a secondary camera. If you read the spec sheet you would have seen it said yes for secondary. Its also visible in the lower right hand corner of the n9 picture on the left of your screen. It has up o 64 gb of internal memory, so I think not having an sd slot is admissible.

AnonD-6399, 09 Jul 2011About the support, we will have to wait and see my friend! ... moreHi Kirsten,
The faster the better considering all other things equal, yes. There is the rub. Other things are not equal. It is a different technology stack. Which is why the N9 is buttery smooth, which I can't say for a lot of high specced Androids. Not trolling here but it is definitely the case that Swipe UI on this device is as smooth as iOS or WP7 on the latest devices.
Real world speed perception is not about specs but how fast users can start and restart tasks, and switch between them. Obviousy, because of the UI, the N9 beats the pants of the other devices. I will get from A to B more quicly because of the Swipe paradigm and the stellar multitasking implementation.
Furthermore, besides niceties for marketing, having a dual core processor in Android has exactly di#$-all speed improvements outside of benchmarks. With the total lack of hardware acceleration that is.
And about the apps: Qt. There are already Millions of Qt enabled devices out there, and there will be 150 Million sold still. That is more than the entire active number of iOS devices, with which I just want to point out, it is a big number.
Now, Nokia also said the device will be supported for years and will get OS updates. If what they did for the N900 is any indication, we should be hugely happy about that.
PS, bought my sister a Sammy, but she too now would have preferred the N9.

AnonD-1124, 09 Jul 2011"I don t want to buy a device that is not going to be ... moreAbout the support, we will have to wait and see my friend! But Nokia have multiple OSes to deal with now! Time will tell!
About the CPU thing, imo the faster the better! I m not talking about two months from now but I am taking about a year from now. There will be a higher number of devices with better cpu speed and probably even better than dual cores and developers will start focusing on better quality apps, and optimized more for latest devices.
About the screen, well I haven't read what gsm arena wrote about the n9 screen, you might be right on that! =) About the OS, well ye i m completely biased. I liked maemo on the n900 and i was waiting eagerly for meego but now meego has to compete with android and ios which are much more mature! You must also take into account that there are alot of manufacturers producing devices with android and nokia is going to produce only this device with the meego os (correct me if i'm wrong!)

The n9 is going to be supported fully. It would run all apps made for subsequent symbian device.
"Dual Core, Super Amoled + and Android"
If you're of the opinion that a faster processor is always better then it isn't worth the debate. Super amoled is no better than CBAmoled. Infact, the n9 screen is better than the sII screen as it has a higher pixel density. Gsmarena themselves said it to be the best mobile display ever. Android. . . depends on your orientation. I prefer symbian. Someone else could prefer meego. Some wp7.

[deleted post]In which world are you living? I waited for the nokia N9 for months! Than Elop came with his bullshit that he is going to focus on windows mobile rather than meego and personally, I don t want to buy a device that is not going to be supported fully such as android devices for example. I decided to buy the best mobile phone at the moment which is the SGS 2 and when nokia announced the n9, i was still intrigued. Still I was disappointed with the specs -.- - Nokia N9> SGS 2? rly? Three words: Dual Core, Super Amoled + and Android! I know atm dual core devices are not utilizing their full potential but they are at least future proof! This phone should have been released in 2010 and not in 2011. 2011 is the year of dual cores -.- However I still have to give credit to Nokia for the design and looks of this phone! It looks superb! Still I wish nokia will be successful with this phone in order to bring more competition in the market! Cheers! =)
