It has fm transmitter(hardware), but currently the software doesn't support. Although it will be available later.
It has no memory card slot, but it has built in memory 64 GB. I think it is more than enough.
It supports divx, xvid through 3rd party apps.
Guys don't think about apps. It supports Nokia Qt, android apps, linux apps. What more u need?
The feature missing in it are, TV OUT and USB on the go support.
That's all.

I have posted this in other news and blog sections.. But for those u missed it and are interested I am posting it here again..

Okay, here is the thing.. I have calculated this
from Damian Dinnings reply in the nokia conversations.. He says that the
pixel size is 1.4 micro meter as opposed to 1.75 micrometer of N8..
    Here is the calculation:

    N8: Pixels - 4000 X 3000
    So sensor area = 4000 X 1.75 micro X 3000 X 1.75 micro
    = 36.75 mm^2
From wikipedia you can see that this is just a bit less than 1/1.8".. So that is 1/1.83" as we know it..

    Now, N9: Pixels - 3552 X 2448 (Full sensor size)
    So sensor area = 3552 X 1.4 micro X 2448 X 1.4 micro
    = 17 mm^2
From wikipedia, you can see that this is just less than 1/3".. So may be 1/3.02"

    There you have it folks..

So the sensor is actually quite smaller than N8's.. But the advanced
technology and f number of 2.2 should give it a nice boost.. But
shouldn't be enough to beat N8 though..

But this should be better than many of the other manufacturer's 8MP modules.. Even some digicams use 1/3" sensor.. Not bad at all.. But N8 is out of the reach of everybody, at least as of now..

AnonD-4254, 27 Jun 2011No radio, No Bluetooth 3.0 HS, 16/64 GB Storage options, ... moreActually I think there is a radio module, just no Nokia software for it at the moment. This is the same as with N900 that did get 3rd party radio pretty much from start.

      Look here: http://www.gsmarena.com/interesting_facts_about_the_new_nokia_n9-news-2821.php

Also, some people have said that the bluetooth classification at GSM Arena is wrong, but no idea if that is true.

        No radio,
        No Bluetooth 3.0 HS,
        16/64 GB Storage options,
1 GHz Processor with 1 GB RAM,

Why do all these things remind me of iPhone4?

What is Nokia trying now? Do they want to make another iPhone killer?
And why did they remove radio while it could have been a novel addition?

Personally, I love the Camera efforts made by Mr. Damian Dinning but other specs are really confusing for a Nokia phone!

Karma13, 27 Jun 2011I think N9 is a total downgrade to the boss the N8.I mean l... moreI agree with you man , this phone should have had all the N8 hardware like fm transmitter for playing your music on any radio, card slot . The N9 should be a upgrage to N8,but they're always leaving stuff out and I like a removable battery .Because I always keep a spare one handy.

Getting really exited about this phone. There is so much more to a smartphone than GHz numbers.

The N8 is better in terms of Xenon Flash. The N9 lacks a Xenon Flash, but it has the MOST powerful Led produced ever by Nokia. :) This also can take HD videos. The N9's lens are 75% brighter. :D
By the way I am not a Nokia fan, but I have my eyes opened!! :)

I think N9 is a total downgrade to the boss the N8.I mean let's compare a bit.N8 has a fm transmitter, nuch better camera with xenon, memory card slot,Radio,USB on the go suppourt.none of this the N9 got.that's so crap.only thing good bout N9 is bigger screen and faster processor.I mean wen they talk N9 u would xpect 16mpx camers, super amoled screen, not 3.9 but 4.2 inch screen, divx suppourt and a hole lot me.for me N9 is totally dissapointing.I still think N8 is the bomb, only thing I don't like but N8 is the built in battery

LP, 27 Jun 2011Awsome design. But why ther's no xenon flash for camera? an... moreThere are pros and cons with Xenon Flash. The Pro on Xenon Flash is that it's very bright and will provide you visible photo shots in the dark. The Cons about Xenon Flash is it drains battery quite a bit, it requires a burst (meaning that you cannot use it as a flash light like LED), and you cannot adjust the brightness manually through software on Xenon.
