Mobilemaster, 10 Dec 2010Include Infrared port?? We are in 2010, why you need that??... moreDon't forget that Nokia builds software for ages now.

When buying a mobile phone, don't look just for the base stats, i.e. CPU and Memmory, but also about the OS that it uses.

Symbian and Meego are highly optimized, and reaquire less resources to operate, hence there is no real need for that high amount of memmory (yet)

Mobilemaster, 10 Dec 2010Include Infrared port?? We are in 2010, why you need that??... moreThen I might as well buy the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 cause the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 and the n9 are releasing next yr.
I suggested an infrared port cause its standard in many nokia phones.

According to the specs the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 is better than the n9.
Also the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 has a better screen than the n9.

Its a tough choice but when comparing the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 and the n9 I think the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 is better.

And forget the 2 GB Ram, Nokia can't make a phone with 2 GB Ram. They will have phones with 2 GB, when HTC and other will have 3 GB Ram... :)) About the CPU, they will NOT beat Samsung, Sony Ericsson and HTC soon. Nokia is going down right now. They will recover in 2012 I think, but NOT next year.

I hope they make the changes which I have mentioned.

These are the improvements the n9 will have to make:

1)Make the ram 2gb or more.
2)Make the rom 3gb or more.
3)Make the screen 4.5 inch or more and make it LED full HD or 3D. It has to be better than super amoled.
4)Include the N8 camera with smile detection.
                        5) Include an infrared port.
                        6)Include a FM Transmitter.
7)Make the processor 2GHz or more.

I like the idea about the 64gb internal and the Scratch-resistant oleophobic surface.

Pls dont concentrate on the price of the phone. All I need is performance. For now the best phone for performance is the Samsung i9000 Galaxy S and the i9000 was released in June 2010.

Change the design of this phone also...it looks very similar to Nokia E7. I can hardly tell any difference between n9 and e7 in terms of looks.

I am using a samsung galaxy i9000 at the moment and I have to say that the OS of the samsung galaxy s is awesom and the galaxy has a high quality screen.

Samsung is planning to release Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 which has really good specs. It has a 4.3 inches screen so i would expect the n9 to have a better and bigger screen and even the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 has a 1.2 processor so the n9 should have a better processor.

Why is n9 planning to use 768MB RAM cause the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S already has a 2gb rom and the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S was released in June 2010.
The n9 should increase the ram and also rom.

Make the changes which are mentioned and release this phone as soon as possible. I will buy it for sure. I wont worry on price.
Come on nokia, samsung is ahead of you at the moment.

                        Thanx

Zero, 07 Dec 2010Nothing we can say except that Meego will lose like WP7 It... moreHmmm...and how can you back this with some facts. Whats for sure is that MeeGo will be a more open OS than Android, Nokia/Intel does not have the same req. to make money on the OS as Google have, instead their main cash flow comes out of selling HW. Of course they aim to make money out of Apps sales as well, but the tie is not in any ways as strong as it is in the Android case.

Also, it appears that the handset will feature some special gaming capabilities, being able to display more than 190million polygons per second.

No one can suggest if Meego (Intel's OS) is better then Anderoid or Samsung. Even the specs on gsm areena are leaked. Not the original.
1 Ghz processor can be more or less, 512Mb ram can be more or less. No one can say if N9 is gonna beat Anderoid.
But i must say, Nokia is doing some hard stuff for their market. and according to future predictions.. Android and Nokia together will rule the world.
Thats beacuse Nokia is made for Multimedia purpose and Anderoid for Business.. so, basically, there is no comparision between these 2 phones.. while the Apple's iphone is left.. Its getting down and down.. as its over rated and dont give any special specs, accept 1G processor and 512mb ram, and tons of useless Apps. even no bluetooth for sending files..
As Android and Nokia, both are open source and customizable with no restrictions.. They together will be the kings of Market.
