Administrater, 07 Oct 2012How can i upgrade my nokia n9 from meego to android plz help meIf you think Meego to Android is an upgrade, I wonder why on Earth you bought an N9. Anyway, you can run Android on it via Nitdroid, but last I heard that had no voice call support yet, so it's not something worth using if the N9 is your main device.

my phone was working well until today that is for 7 months now it just heats up and the battery drains with in 15 mins with screen turning white , what is the problem ?

and requests flash update, as does BBC news site videos, channel 4 on demand also the same, some sites do work, and I have latest Firefox version 15.0 and flash player,

Hi,to all N9 owners,( post for UK owners)BBC I player
Asks for flash player 10.2 and can not update it,
So it will not work, Google BBC I PLAYER / Big screen,
It Is for play station / game machine, and it works
Well, BBC may update it eventually but for now can
Enjoy IPlayer. Still working at time of posting.

I thought all had antenna in the bottom now, at least all my Xperia phones had it in the bottom. And wifi antenna on the top.
Happy for u f urs didnt degrade, but dont throw stones in a glass house, i think if u read my post again u see that i havent left anything out, we had signal for 8 months but not anymore, and the other phones still have signal there on the same network. Its not something u can blame on wrong use, u sound like u work for Apple, next u will tell me "this is normal" and then give me a free lecture how wonderful maps Nokia have (thats the other problem with N9, bad maps in philippines, google is the only way to go here)
Im not the only one with this problem anymore, so i consider it a proof that N9 signal degrades.

Mats, 05 Oct 2012I am really struggling with my battery life in UK. yesterda... moreBattery has always been bad on N9, and ofcors it degrades after a year, and since we have to charge more than once a day then the battery degrades even faster than on other smartphones. My Xperia Pro had smaller battery that lasted longer with heavier usage, i bought them at the same time.

Mats, 05 Oct 2012I am really struggling with my battery life in UK. yesterda... moreYou must be aware of the other things to save battery like power saver mode etc etc. But something else you can do is try to charge your N9 when it is fully discharged. Another thing after some days like in a month discharged the battery full that it says battery empty then recharge it for the whole night. I've read this somewhere and tried it and it worked for me. I hope it will work for you too.

Its going to be one year old on 24th of October. But no issues with signal etc. Its working perfect. As I remember at the launch of Lumia 800 there was an article on Nokia conversation, it was an interview with head of department responsible for signals etc, he said N9 is the best in this regards.
One thing which may help you, not confirmed, just don't hide the Antenna area with your hand. You must know that it is placed at the bottom of N9.

I am really struggling with my battery life in UK. yesterday i had to charge it for the third time at night. i mean that is just not good. i love this phone but this battery issue is making me mad, it was ok in the beginning, around 16 hours, then it reduced to 12, and now it is around 8-10 hours. wth should I do :s

Other phones we have, using the same network provider, had good signal in the same locations, and the N9 used to be good also, but in for example one place the N9 now NEVER have a signal, and we had signal there before. We should know coz we lived there for 8 months and the N9 always had ok signal.
My wife suspects that the N9 signal is worse with 3G than GSM. Can you please test that on your N9 as well.
Bad phone anyway, Pentile AMOLED is substandard display technology, and no card slot, and battery never was great.
