i want to try and use MeeGo on the N900.is it what you would expect of the phone or should i just maintain the maemo?

Amazing features not enough apps Very hard... moreits very easy.install webos aplication in n900.there are 38 games there in packet.download from google the games/all the must be in all ipk files.dont need to use xterminal.its very easy way.and you will paly with asphalt 5 ,,,driver ,,,,,avatar,,,,,nfsu,,,,and other wonderful games.enjoy.

mrsylvon, 12 Apr 2011n900 is a cool and complex phone. but where can i get hi-te... moredonload and install first webos aplication games .there are there for a moment 38 games.download from google games that see there .all the game must be in all ipk files.this is is the easy way to install games .dont need to use xterminal.

sanket, 13 Apr 2011I think n900 is a gr8 phone to use unless u know how to mak... moreyou dont know well nokia n900 and linux system that have this wonderful phone.iphone 4 yes its good but nokia n900 its amazing .this phone never die.bles are they that have produced this mini computer.you can do in the same time everything that you want with nokia n900.

I think n900 is a gr8 phone to use unless u know how to make the best use of it , there are a lot of applications that are really cool . but yeah if i had to rank them would say iphone 4 is the best at the moment, then Nokia E90 and may be the last as n900..but guys if u r planning to buy a new phone iphone 4 is better than n900

Hey Guys,
Finally we have got a whole portrait mode update for our tablet..
Install "CSSU Transitions tuner" keeping all the repositories enabled..
After installation, the "CSSU Transitions tuner" will be available inside "settings"..
Open it & select "Force Rotation Enabled" & then "Done". After this, the device will be operated in a portrait mode whenever u hold it upside down.. All the applications - menu, media, conversations & even the lock code in the start & the on screen keypad - will be available in portrait mode.. However, the desktops are still not available in portrait mode but that thing will also be available soon after installing timely updates...
Also, i came to know a whole new media browser (for audio, podcast, video, videocasts, images & internet radio) named "Canola". Download it & its related plugins from Application manager. The Main advantage of this application is that it allows u to do the navigation folder based (like symphonie audio player) & allows us to create our own playlist. For images, it allows us to do on screen zooming which is not possible by our default "images" application (at present, we have to use volume keys for zooming the image while viewing).. Also, i found it much faster compared to conventional navigation..
So install these applications & keep enjoying the enormous power of our tablet.. :)

application installation memory is just 1 GB; can some one tell me how i can enhance memory for applications installation bcz due to low application installation memory,i cant install many applications.plz some one tell me.thanks

i really dont think so it is a compatabale phone ...n900 is a complex full of unreauired features....its not a basic phone which everybody can use ..............................

Well for Java, U need to install icedtea6 & Microemulator. Both can be downloaded from application manager keeping all the repositories enabled.
Once these two are installed, Open any .jar file in the Micro emulator & it will run..

Nokia N900 is really a pocket computer running maemo Linux os...i'm really happy with it, but sad thing is that n900 Missing internal Digital Compass, voice guided OVI Map and great third party application Nimbuzz...but nice phone.....
