i have n900 is thre any option to change the font size the lettres very small cannot read the comtact name and the fone number's very small size if you have any solution please send it to me on my email

      Hey friends pls help.
      i hv by mistake locked my n900 and i forgot the security code, hence unable to unlock it.
      pls help me to solve my problem;

                The video call capabilities has been included in latest firmware version PR1.3 of this tablet. U insert a 3G supporting card & u vl be able to do the video calls. Morever, it offers Video Chat over VOIP, the way we used to do on gtalk. This feature is somewhat unique & separetes N900 from other smarphones. Even Android Froyo doesn't have this capability. Reports Claim that Gingerbird will have this one.

                For HTC smarphones, They lack in basic hardware Feature - The Front Camera. So Despite of having Android, U won't be able to do Video Call/chat with those phones. So even if the firmwares of those phone will be capable of doing so (Android Gingerbird for example) in future, these phones will not be able to support video call/chats. Same is the case with SE Xperia & Vivaz family & Motorola Milestone. For N8, it does support video calling & has good camera. But camera is not a primary feature for me as I prefer Sony Cybershot or Nikkon SLR models for a good photography.

                For the Web surfing experience, NO smart phone can come closer to N900.

                So now its ur choice what u demand from ur device..

                  There's also gnumeric in maemo extras that is a very good spreadsheet programme. It supports .xls format.

But i think you should think of HTC DHD / N 8 / motorola milestone 2; as they are better as on today's time. If you are person, who use mobile much for call and net, but dont want any modification, then these are better mobiles. But if you are geek kind of person, then ucan still buy n900.

                      •No preinstalled voice-guided SatNav application
                      •No voice recorder, no MMS, and no handwriting recognition
                      •Limited third-party software availabilty

                      The Above are the demerits of the nokia n900 as per gsmarena.com review. Do these still stand as demerits or any improvements can be made/done ????

                      & can i edit documents of word and excel ????

                      I am about to buy this phone in 2 weeks time. Should i go for it people? or is it outdated now ? i m going to buy a new handset. any suggestions ?

                        Install "easy debian" from application manager & ur problem will be solved..

                        Make sure U have activated all the repositories - extras, extras-devel, extras-testing - before doing so..

                          PR1.3 has already been released officially by Nokia. U can get it (& the installation procedure) from Nokia- software updates or from maemo.org. PR1,4 is due in Q2'11..

                          Meego has also unofficially released for our tablet. Since i m satisfied so far with Maemo, I haven't updated my tablet to Meego. though I will definately give it a try.. :)

                          Some reports claim that Android Gingerbird can also be installed on our tablet (unofficial release off course..).

                          Type "gingerbird" in the search opinion tool (present in the top of "read opinion" secion) & u vl be able to find the detail post of mine regarding these Operation Systems..

Maybe a Samsung, they have so many flaws making them slow and unreliable, but Android fones from other manufacturers are quite more responsive than any nokia (N900 included).

                                N8 users dont understand that the processor need to run the apps, its not symbian itself that need to be run so efficiently. And SMALL OS FOOTPRINT does NOT mean faster app execution. The processor need to execute the app regardless of the OS used.

                                N900 remains the onli good Nokia, the only one with a modern processor, and the onli fone (period!) with a real OS. N8 users can dream all they like but Arm11 is slow and we all know it, and there is no such thing as a "miracle OS" that can make a slow processor fast. Just try any superlightweight Linux on your PC, it doesnt execute apps any faster than regular Linux or Windows does.

                                  Trust me, its a must love, if you own it. Your laptop will be relegated as soon as you get this device.

                                    shet on allllllllllllllllllllllll the phones no phone after nokia n900
                                    the phone that has alot of games and applicationds are good but at the last moment u will be angry with it cause its for games and application only u cant use all the internet tools but with nokia n900 u can use evrything on the internet try to watch amovie online on iphone4 u will not be able to watch amovie but with nokia n900 u can watch anything you want cause its mini laptob phone so noone will be angry with iusing internet but the games will be angry with it so go for nokia n900 and about buttry problem u cat connect it with charger and use it at anytime anywere any moment

                                        can sumone tell me abt the n900 fm radio? Is it like order nokia fm radio? I no it has fm but i dnt no how the fm work. According 2 wat i saw the fm via third party software i dnt no wat dat mean.... can sumone pls xplain it 2 me.......i'll really aprci8 ur anwser.....thank so much.....
