lenandes, 26 Oct 2010im from malaysia..i'hv got the auto update last night..but ... moreHi lenandes, I tell u a simple way.. go to www.google.com and type in "nokia software updater" and download it from the very first link there. Instaal it and connect ur phone in "pc-suit mode" and update the phone from there.. And plz let us know th changes u have noticed after updating..

You will need to w... moreim from malaysia..i'hv got the auto update last night..but when want update it..it ask me to connect my phone to pc via USB..i do so and i pressed PC suite mode..after that what must i do to continuo to update it? hope you guy can help me woth some tips..thank.

PR 1.3: Made the GUI faster and smoother, without OC or Swappolube. Crochick MyContacts broke after the upgrade. Have to check the reason and fix it.

I've updated my phone to PR1.3 the only real update I can see is the ability to synchronise with Nokia Ovi Suite! Useful to do a backup and to connect to the internet using a data cable.....Otherwise the phone software is as stable as ever......

The update is available here in the U.S. I just updated it. I wish Nokia would support printing from this device to any wifi enabled printer. That would be nice, since this is like a mini computer.

It's an update for fine tuning cause PR1.2 was almost perfect (i never had anything wrong - never crushed - never restarted unxpectacly...100% rock solid firmware) so with PR1.3 the difference its in feeling...smoothness and compatibility.

There is nothing new! in the matter affect, the anoying virtual keyboard bug messing up the text, is a high priority bug, but not fixed.
Also the mediaplayer widget still looses the play button sometimes.
sd card still not supported on ovi suite.
N900 still looses typed text in virtual keyboard mode when screen locks and unlocks.
Music player shows the time of music like this: 03.5 instead of 03.50
This is one of the most terrible updates ever made by nokia!
The overall preformance is a little better and the battery is also.
Nokia isn’t putting time in fixing stuff, the only thing they are doing right now is, building meego. They couldn’t care less about the maemo community.

lenandes, 25 Oct 2010im wondering how to update the firmware to pr1.3 ..i connec... moreonly the UK is getting the update today! You will need to wait a few days....also you need to have your phone connected to a wifi network and then click application manager and click update and the update will arrive.
I'm in the UK and I checked for the update which shows on my phone, but it won't update until I connect to a wifi network, which I will do when I get back home in about 2 hours time!

my nokia n900 cannot start plz help ......today it sudden switched off and it is not able to star it showing Nokia in white screen but not able to start .....even not the nokia screen appears when i connect to charger or pc....pc does not shows any notification when i connect via usb....
please help me urgent
