bought this phone few days back, not very happy as every one has posted battery is pathetic. not a very great phone. at this price they are many other options. not happy with this phone. feel like ugh!!! E66 was far much better interms of applications and features, easy to handle...very bulky...touch screen is also not great. rest if u want to waste ur amount u can!!! don not regret after buyin!!

1. Get an extra battery.
2. Use solar power.
3. Get a car charger
4. House charger
There are many options out there to keep your phone fully charged while using it!
There is a program for mms on this phone. It is called fMMS. It's in App manager on your phone.

Why nokia not making more phone like this..one of the best nokia phone but totaly lack of support. Poor n900..like a step child of nokia.

it was great 2 have n900..but i'm vry dspointd with the bettry prfomances..after 2 weeks own ths phone,i still cn't find the way to runing the mms...

lenandes, 30 Sep 2010hey danveer..sorry..my laptop had spoilt d..i recently onli... morewell ya, you can install and use any java based applications including games, and other softwares..:)
gsm arena should had updated its specs about java on n900 a long time before.
and ya, one more thing, there are many games for this device because there are many emulators available for it. just download GBA emulator and you can play all game boy games made till now on ur n900
and so there are many other emulators too like nitendo 64, and even PSx4 + you can find many more games on maemo.org..
hope your laptop gets repaired quickly..:) but i dont think you need it much since you have the n900 with you..:)

I am using it for past six months and each day I thank God that I didn't go for iPhone. Device is amazing you can stretch its battery life with customized profiles. I can open Java apps. I think device is only limited by our imagination.

I have bought a n900 nokia and read some comments below some are really happening in my phone and some are facts to me. was wondering if anyone could help me solve some wierd problems ie. 1. widget can dissappear just like that I have to recall it back quite often - is there anyway to have a improversion or repair of firmware or downloads that I could try out?, 2. documents to go, i hv tried buying but the card no. is failed and not able to purchase even with correct details input - is there anyway i could use and without needed to purchase? 3. how can i download for voice call able? 4. most times i really face the phone hang - is that normal? 5. i still find the phone is very slow especially when we retrieve contacts, sms or email box - is there any possible version of making it fast? I truely understand there is no 100% perfect of anything and I am not a real good technology person but would really want to do it myself after hearing the sharings below. Anyone is kind to assist me further. Much appreciated!

I wanna but this phone, but one question is holding me back. As the same does not support JAVA, some banking softwares line ngpay, etc wont function of the phone. Any way to make that happen?
