sss, 19 Jul 2010what version of ovi maps does this phone have (still v1)? i... moren900 has ovi maps 3.01 n its without voice guidance but u can install it with ur fav language 4m map application during online . GPS stays tuned always without inet conexn but only its start up when ur gps reciever unable 2 find any satelite ex- inside very long tunnel.

n8 ...... 16M color...... Resolution.... VGA
WVGA bether than VGA
...The higher the screen resolution and accuracy of the photos were much better than increasing the number of colors....

This fone doesnt come with mms so you wont be able to sent pictures

Can anyone help please - how can you set it to download all the bodies of the emails, it seems to take ages to open an email, its like its downloading it everytime, I use aol.co.uk, also is it possible to hide some of the folders as I dont want to sync some of them, Thanks alot

The N900 was meant to be used on Landscape Mode. Portrait Mode looks ugly on it.
Now, Ovi & Maemo are producing many new applications. Just we have to wait & enjoy besides the will be Meego so....cool

can you type sms in portrait mode ??, ALSO, why are my "sent" items in AOL not getting saved on the AOL server, they are only getting saved to my phone, PLEASE HELP ME

But as Nokia hav already planned to replace maemo with meego, firmware updates or future support for the former will be hard to come by.
Now as i can see that your experience with android has not been a good one, better keep it out. Actually its not OS alone which determines the success of the phone, the hardware has to be a top class to unleash the full potentiality of the operating system (software). In that scenario i see new released samsung galaxy s (i9000) to be a perfect device running on android.
But every one hav their own choices and own decisions to make.
If tomorrow maemo becomes outdated, then day-after tomorrow even meego is gonna become outdated. Technology is moving ahead everytime. So better choose what is good at this moment.
