Hey Folks. For the past year since purchased the brand-new communicator "brick" E90, it proved to be the Best of the Best as far considering looks, style, class, usage and battery life up to 6 days - a 10 out of 10) - I do have a 2nd phone the E75 which is quite good especially the e-mail use.
However, please let me know your opinions about the N900 (because I have smashed against the wall all the "N" series phones that I bought since the inception of the very slow N70).
By all means ::: is the N900 worth the buck$ ???
Just as a general comment, I found the Nokia phones a bit slow on the camera side - don't know if I am doing something wrong but it does not click and take the photos instantly (takes too long to focus) - and this causes to lose that wanted moment - any suggestions ??? Thanks a lot in advance

N900 has no option for Packet data & Access point. Any budy has any trick please inform us...........

I use this mini computer, but sorry to say that the screen is very poor in sunlight if you want to use it in the sunlight you must have an umbrella for N900, The sound is very poor but from handfree it good.
Gallery style not powerful as you see in Samsung JET or Smsung I8000, I thing it is better choose I8000 instead N900.

All of us, the owners of N900, we are expecting a big update from Nokia (Meego OS or anything else) that will bring a MMS, voice calling, call diverting, contacts group, proper synchronization with the PC, support. As well Nokia has promissed life-free voice guided navigation. The developers are taking too long with office editing, dictionaries, etc. software... perhaps, it is too difficult to program for Maemo. So far, as a functionality N97 mini on Symbian OS is away better.

Do you get alot of reflection from the N900 screen, or does that really depend on if your indoors or outdoors?
Does anyone know when you will be able to use all features in panoramic mode with the N900?

Can someone tell me when this Nokia N900 will be launched in INDIA officially, if anyone has some info regarding this.
Will it be a wise decision to import the same from UAE or Europe region?

I do have a couple of questions... more@prashant, here are my comments
1) How is the messaging experience ?

2) Does it have the maps of India in the GPS ? (As its nt yet released in India)
not an issue. You can use GPS in n900 either connecting to the net or if not, download the maps into ur mobile using map loader. I have been using GPS in my phone though ovi maps doesnt support voice yet. waiting for the new version.
3) Incase the phone has a problem can i get in serviced here in chennai if i get the phone shipped from the US ?
well thats not possible to get it serviced in chennai through nokia centers as the phone is not launched here yet. as long as you don't damage the hardware you are fine. software issues, we can do it ourselves if you are little geeky.
4) Does it have handwriting recognition ?
no idea. didnt find any app for it yet.
5) Is the speed of the OS good or is it too slow?
speed of the OS is very fast. can open multiple apps..i guess upto 30 or so.... i feel it is faster than my 3 yr old laptop...i was downloading a divx movie in one window in my phone, at the same time i was on a call. not to mention there were couple of browser windows as well.....
6) Is it worth buying without trying it hands on ?
yes it sure wont disappoint u....i bought the device online without trying the device first. all i know was from the reviews i read earlier....

n900, 11 Mar 2010lol sorry got this the wrong way round capacitive does suck.Hahah I read the first comment and I was like huh? I think he may have messed up a bit lol. Ya I have the N900 and the Droid and I hate the capacitive screen on the Droid lol its so annoying.

Barcode, 11 Mar 2010Eww capacitive suckscapacitive is not terrible it is the best it is more accurate than resistive and also good in the winter as you can use stylus, fingers and gloves can you do that on resistive NO YOU CANT.
