But at least it isn't controlled by Google, which isn't the case of Android (everywhere you go is sent directly to Google's databases). Personally, I'm happy to be independent of Google, and so should you be.

nokia is market leader by a huge margin.and the reason is that it doesn't follow others. nokia was always a pioneer.
and winmo and android are for those companies who can't make their own os, but nokia can and they have once again redefined mobile computing by releasing maemo 5.

Uros, 20 Feb 2010SO, i see a lot of good people here :) ...and i have a ques... morei've always used nokia smartphones and they included 5800xm, but n900 blows every nokia phones out of the park. it's the best audio quality amongst nokia. lack of equalizer is only a problem in paper. be honest, how many times do you change your equalizer in a day?
music quality through headphones is awesome. eventhough the headphones look really cheap but they are surprisingly good with noise cancellations, that's a feat on its own.
and about firmware updates, well we saw 3 in just a matter of a month and a huge 200 mb is coming by the end of the month, so don't worry a lot of things might get fixed soon.but i won't want an equalizer cause i like the deep bass my n900 produces.

i have 1.4 gb free in my installable drive .. but it says target drive full when i install new softwares. can anyone help me how to delete or clear watever is full ?

SO, i see a lot of good people here :) ...and i have a question :) How is sound via headphones (that comes with the phone) ? Is lack of equalizer a problem, or it is "not a big deal" that will probably be fixed with updates... ? And... Thanks in advance, for hopefully useful answer :)

!!!!!!!!!After butying the n97 when it first came out and completing several updates, although its slightly better am still pretty much umimpressed by it and have spoke to vodafone and I can trade it in and upgrade to a n900 so guess i just wanna know is it really worth it, its lookin like the n900 is evertying i expected the n97 to be so should i make thw switch or is it full of bugs like the n97 seems to be and is it really as good as the reviews i've read says it is
!!!!!ps have they updated it so u can switch between landscape and portrait or is still landscape only!!!!!!

i m using this but one thing is there no phone can give u the pleasure of the king IPHONE 3GS my favourite fone. N900 doesnt satisfies me. its touch screen also same as 97

I bought this phone some 3 wks ago and it has and it has been wonderful using it, i however have problem with checking my balance. i am in nigeria and i use the MTN network. could it be that the phone is not meant for my network since it has not been launched in Nigeria? I am also a complete novice on the xterminal thing. my phone also occasionally rebot with heavy use. Can anyone help me out?

After butying the n97 when it first came out and... moreNlj i had the N97 and i switched to the N900 and i tell u i dont regret not one bit. the N900 is twice as fast very smooth does not freeze excellent multitasking and excellent browsing.
concerning the landscape it works in phone mode and web browser for now via the new firmware update all the phone will work in both modes..
