I got bought a Droid 2 days ago for veri... morethe reason for the default mobile view is the fact that it takes less to download due to the format.. it could be a setting on the handset, but also i know verizon is pretty stiff when it comes to modifications.. so my guess is you will be stuck with the mobile view forever lol.

Anonymous, 15 Feb 2010Smart phone of the year 2010 1st place goes to the HTC H... moremost people are more familiar with wm phones then maemo.. and the htc is more loved then nokia 9 out of 10 cases.. but i prefer nokia for sure due to the interface.

ok, its simple. its on of the best phones out overall. i have had plenty, i admit it needs some work in some areas but those areas are easy to get around.. for one.. it has adobe flash!! so web browsing is amazing.. (all i do) and the wifi is the fastest i have had period (blackberry bold/iphone 3gs/htc) the storage is rediculous!! ok so its a bit on the fat side big deal.. it does not have the iphones screen.. really who does haha.. its simple and looks great.. only thing holding it back is of course support from nokia but honestly its great!!! the potential is great. battery is not as bad as some claim.. i play vgba all day and it last till night fall.. ok and one thing that most overlook is the fact that it does multi tasking!!! hmmm so the iphone is out of the circle with android and palm.. so like i said its great!! just dont compare it to an iphone when the iphone does not have all angles coverd.

gabby131, 15 Feb 2010what can you say about what nokia's responses to USB port p... morewell i did kinda get mine dropped cause of my son so i do get where nokia is coming from but the microUSB should have not been just attached to the motherboard itself they should of had a cover like the 5800
or build a shell over the USB on the motherboard
plus there should be a way or tutorial to sodder it back on

they dictated that the reason of the usb port breaking from the device is because of "poor device handling" or in other words.....carelessness.

n86 user, 15 Feb 2010Im using the n86 now and I plan on upgrading to the n900. I... morethe learning curve is not that steep if you are moving from a smartphonde esp symbian.
i have always used symbian smartphone and this is my 6th smartphone so for me the learning curve wasn't that steep. i just spent 12 hours on a straight to install some apps and personalize it to my use and that was it. it was easy as anything. but if you're moving from a impx cam then you're going to miss that a lot. and also the filesystem of maemo is really a pain. and the music player sometimes gives you such a headache that you feel that you will smash the set in wall. no equalizer, really complea way of making playlist, i still couldn't find a way to repeat one song only via the default media player. but the music quality is really great. the best from nokia. and the headphones eventhough extremely cheap looking; does a very good job of noise cancellation. please read one of my previous post about the difficulties you may face if you're using n900 on a daily basis(on the previous page i guess). i moved on from e75 though both share same form factor but still it's not at all same.
