hd2 or n900? if you dont have wifi n900 is useless. i guess n900 is made to surf on the internet?? because of all the tasks you can do at 1 time! i wish there is a phone with free internet all the time. xD

order my nokia n900 from buy.com last thursday and got it yesterday($575 with fast shipping). this phone feels very solid in hand and its a totally new experience compare to the sympian OS. touchable screen is very smooth, compare to my previous htc hd2 i would say opening web pages n900 its not as fast as the htc hd2, just one or two seconds slowers. but the multi-web pages views is awesomes. Camera is good as my previous nokia n97 and n96. I m very happy is phone is made i korea and not made in china. i hope nokia will realease more 3rd party applications soon. xd

Has anyone had any trouble downloading the update? It says the target location does not have enough memory to install it. I disabled the other catalogs and it still does not work. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. Thanks

                                Guys,

I'm pretty excited about the new generation OMAP Series 4 Processors.

                                Check this out:

1.) hardware accelerators enable full HD 1080p, multi-standard video encode/decode.

                                2.) up to 20-megapixel imaging

                                3.) Dual-core ARM® Cortex™-A9 @ 1GHz or more

4.) Integrated POWERVR™ SGX540 graphics accelerator drives 3D gaming and 3D user interfaces.

Fabio, 12 Jan 2010if only they could enable THREADED VIEW SMS.. that would be... moreBut SMS messages are threaded on the N900! As well as virtually every other existing form of texual communication including Ovi Chat, all IM services, and many other things! The N900 is a pretty remarkable phone and after researching for 2 months for a new phone, I decisively concluded that the N900 beats evey other phone currently offered in the world! In my opinion (as a pround owner of an N900), there won't be another phone to fully compete with this one for a good half a year at least! If you're looking for a new phone, then get this one! And if you really don't want this one, I would say that the HTC Hero and Nexus One are you second best bets!

I've had the N900 for about 3 weeks now and it is most definitely the best phone I've ever used. Yes, even better than the N95 in some ways but not in others. The N95 was indisputably the best phone ever made to this day because it was years ahead of its competition if you could call them that and is still ahead of most new, flashy smartphones. This phone has a great camera for all normal purposes, UI and gallery viewing is clean and without break due to the 600 Mhz processor, screen resolution is great, keyboard is nice and tactile (though I'm guessing some people may take longer to get used to it- the offset spacebar did throw me off at first but it's just a matter of habit, it's the missing number key row that kind of slows things down but not terribly), the new Maemo OS is performing well for being the guinea pig OS of the market, and the build quality is excellent! You'll find nothing but steel and strong matte black plastic inside or out. The two major problems I have with this phone are that 1. there are hardly any apps for this phone (due to the recency of Maemo 5's release which will get better over time) and 2. the multimedia player (which encompasses the music player, video player, and internet radio app) doesn't give users the capability of editing details such as album name on the phone! That's iPhone performance right there and not what I was expecting from a top-of-the-line Nokia device! And you can't even view any details about videos other than the length displayed under each video thumbnail and the title! My N95 (and all Symbian S60 phones for that matter were amazing in that way- they were rediculously thorough in file management and allowed for extreme flexibility) could do it and it is 3 years old now! However, when a VLC player app comes out on the N900, it will resolve the issue of limited video format support (which, as far as I know, is a problem seen in all smartphones as of yet). Oh, and I can't forget about the browser! With a good 3G connection (which I haven't used yet) or a fast wi-fi connection like I have, web browsing on this device is truly hard to distinguish from a desktop browser! It is absolutely impeccable and the stylus really helps out here with tiny links or when you're checking email (although there is a good email client on the phone albeit being a little slow to start up. Nothing more than 5 seconds though.)! The browser can render web pages just like on a desktop and the page is fully sized and readable without the need to zoom in due to the high screen resolution. In other words, no more side-scrolling when you're browsing the web! And to finish, get a screen protector for this phone! It's beautiful and you really do want to keep scratches off of it! And trust me, the screen scratches fairly easily!P.S. iPhone fanboys, your phone really is a toy and a joke compared to this behemoth of a phone!
