IT seems that on one come here to say
this phone is not powerful
is not interesting
is not user friendly
is not responsive,
i
they only complain about its thickness and its sensitive resistite screen ! Would you not buy this mini computer because of these ?

can anyone tell me if the front camera of the n900 can be used as a web-cam? i'm talking about like video conversations online, like on msn thing, plz tell me here if anyone knows. BTW, i have ordered from amazon, it's was $529, then after $50 rabet, it's like $479. also, i was thinking to go to one of the nokia flag ship store in chicago or New York to buy one, i called to both stores, answers were--all sold-out.

So a phone that people aren't using yet has a performance rating of 8.6 based on youtube clips.and advertising?
What happens if the battery doesn't last, the speakers don't work properly, the network doesn't work well and calls drop out, if there are production issues such as gaps in the casing or squeaks, etc.
The 8.6 vote has already skewed the results before people are even using them.
The ratings system here is worthless.

What performance, no-one has them yet what criteria are people basing these votes on?
It can't be battery life as no-one is using them so that hasn't been tested.
It can't be messaging because people haven't experienced turning the phone to landscape to send a quick SMS.
It can't be talk time or call quality as no-one has made calls on it yet?
So how can there be 8.6 under performance?
This is why the ratings here are flawed, wishful thinking does not equal real world performance by any stretch of the imagination.

the phone is not even in the hands of the customers yet and the price already drop from $650 (nokia's website) to $530 on amazon, and now $480 with mail-in rebate (still from amazon).
I'm gonna wait for Christmas to see what happen!
